Question: How the security issues are solved in ConnectedDay service? Answer: The ConnectedDay service has a very high level of security the same technology as many online banking institutions. The security starts with the secure transfer of the pictures from ConnectedDay camera phone. The fact that service uses the user’s mobile phone number as their username with a randomly generated password, makes sure that only those who are authorised to see the pictures are able do that. As a service provider we undertake the responsibility to protect all photos and videos very seriously. ___________________________ Question: When I copy pictures from ConnectedDay service the files are saved in a ZIP format. How can I open a ZIP file? Answer: We use ZIP files because they take only little space and are therefore fast to download. Windows XP has a built in function to “unzip” files. You find it with a right mouse button when you click ZIP file. When there is no “unzip” function you will need a separate application to do that. Here are some links to applications that are free and the easiest to use: http://www.download.com/ JustZipIt/3000-2250_4-10222609.html

Inkivääri (Ginger) Nursery
is situated in scenic Vuosaari in the suburbs of eastern Helsinki, Finland. This nursery has been operating from March 2007 and is co-located with another nursery called Auringonpilkku (Sunspot). These two nurseries will operate in the same premises until fall 2008 adjacent to Auringonpilkku. At the moment Inkivääri has a child group called Unikot (Poppies), and the plan is to create three more groups. Inkivääri started using ConnectedDay in the fall of 2007.
During
the different seasons of the year, the Inkivääri Nursery has a policy of changing themes to suit the season. For example, the theme for the period from January to Spring is Animals and Nature. During this time,

the children learn how to recognise different animals and plants both from books and also outdoors in their natural environment. When it is time for their nap children are read stories about the animals as they fall asleep. The stories are all about animals such as a clever fox or a wise owl and when it is time for the next activity they are full of energy and enthusiastic to learn about the animals and nature. Children are also helped to create animal figures
from coloured cardboard. Everyone has a great time and the staff are able to capture some great memories for the parents.
Like
many nurseries, Inkivääri have several birthdays in January and they are celebrated by the whole nursery. Pictures and particularly videos of birthday parties draw excited comments from the other parents as well: soon will be their child’s birthday!
