Hassan Ali ‘The Lion’ at the age of 16, has always been determined to do well and achieve his goals in life in order to become a world champion in Kickboxing. His passion for kickboxing first started through a slight different path which he undertook at the age of 4 when he started karate. He first started karate and developed his ability and ambitions doing karate for 8 years achieving many belts from white, to white and red all the way to black which is the final belt that is achieved in karate. At only the age of 8, Hassan was able to achieve a black belt in his karate profession and was one of the youngest members who achieved a black belt in Britain, and at the age of 10 he achieved a 2nd Dan. However whilst Hassan was doing karate he was approached by a club who wanted Hassan
to join with them in order to do kickboxing, which interested him as he wanted to go on to a level further in his career path to see which other areas would benefit him in order to become a world champion either in both fields. At the age of 11 he then integrated with the gym and joined fulltime in order to stay on to do kickboxing as he liked this and decided that this is what he wanted to do and left karate as he had achieved what he wanted to. Kickboxing has since been an interest for Hassan as he is yet achieving his goals in life through tremendous titles that he has gained in a very short period of time. In 2007 Hassan also went to Thailand for 7 weeks to participate at the prestigious Fairtex Camp – Muay Thai Boxing academy in order to train and advance his skills in kickboxing. The titles that Hassan has achieved till date are-:
World Kickboxing Association (WKA) junior area - achieved at the age of 13 in 2007 International Sport Kickboxing Association (ISKA) midland Champion – achieved in 2009 European Gold medalist achieved at the age of 15 in 2009 World Association Kickboxing Organisation (WAKO) British – achieved at the age of 16 in 2010 International Combat Organisation (ICO) – achieved at the age of 16 in June 2010 When Hassan had achieved an ISKA European Champion title, a special event was held in order to celebrate the success of his title in 2009. Representing the England team, he travelled to Rome, Italy where he won the coveted gold medal and became a European Champion. Hassan is training in USKA gym which is in Birmingham
and is known for being one of the best gyms in the UK. Hassan has been with USKA till date and he is training for his world title ship. Hassan was the first Asian in Staffordshire to be selected for sports personality of the year on 6th February 2010 which he participated in and was televised on Sony TV. Hassan is a very hardworking individual and always has been as he has succeeded and has been doing very well in life and always will through his kickboxing. However as well as doing very well in life, we as Hassan’s parents have had a major part to play in this as we have always been beside him and have supported him by taking our time and financial resources in order to make certain that his dream to become a world champion comes true. Hassan is determined to become a world champion and he wants to become a professional in this field.
