61 Study of shadows that were casted on existing elevation 62 Concept diagram of the theater

My concept began with the study of shadows that were casted on existing building. I was interested in its temporality, its double material presence, and path of projections. The main concept of the theater is capturing the doubling of space allowing programs temporal whether it’s being used as a theater or practice space. With it being doubled, the improvisational spaces create an emotional exchange between the person who occupying the area of the building, and the people who are visiting the site.

The concept is to create a multi-functional design that reflects the brand’s visual identity that could be used both as racks for merchandise display and as a partition to divide the space. A basic 60x60cm module in edgy rusted metal is used in various patterns, randomly repeated to create the cage like partitions. These modules are floating in the center of the shop-in-shop space. Black painted glass in a diagonal stripe pattern clads surround walls. A semitransparent grid defines the space and sets it apart from the other brands that are its neighbors.
