NEKTON-Baby-Bird is a complete feeding for the successful hand-rearing of all bird chicks, which meets the needs of all essential nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, and minerals. Many of these nutrients are included in a highly receptive form, whereby their availability is significantly increased.
The composition of NEKTON-Nektar-Plus is oriented towards individual components of the hummingbirds‘ high requirements for nutrients and substances, where at the same time, NEKTON-Nektar-Plus has also become an excellent food mixture for sensitive sunbirds. The carbohydrates‘ composition reproduces flower nectar – which is the preferred source of nourishment for hummingbirds and sunbirds – and thus supplies these animals‘ metabolism with energy. Supplemented by vitamins, proteins, fats, major and trace elements, a balanced mixture emerges which contains all essential elements for these birds. NEKTON feeding tube For sunbirds and butterflies The NEKTON feeding tube has been specially developed for NEKTONNektar-Plus, for feeding sunbirds and nectar-feeding birds. It consists of brown Plexiglas and is almost fully impervious to UV light. This ensures an extended shelf life of the important food components. The rounded, sloping base on the inside of the tube enables the bird to ingest the food up to the very last bit. The filling quantity of 40 ml is sufficient even to provide larger species with a single feeding per day. A combination with NEKTON-Desi-Plus is strongly recommended for disinfecting the tube after each feeding to protect sensitive sunbirds from illnesses.

NEKTON-S contains all essential vitamins and is additionally enriched with amino acids, minerals and trace elements. A shortage of vitamins (hypovitaminosis) is not easy to recognize in birds and leads to considerable damage to health over a long period before prematurely losing the animal. Approx. 90% of all illnesses in birds are caused by inadequate feed. NEKTON-S supports the progress of metabolic processes in birds and significantly increases the usability of all ingested nutrients. NEKTON-S has been used very successfully for over 35 years in zoos, animal parks, by breeders and by private animal owners.
NEKTON-B-Komplex repairs deficiency states, has a positive influence on nerve tissue and optimizes regulation of protein, fat and carbohydrate metabolism. A lack of essential B vitamins becomes apparent in many forms of health disorders, such as nervous disorders (bending back the head), increased irritability, uncoordinated movement or spasms. Abnormal skin changes and growth disorders can also indicate a lack of vitamin B.

NEKTON-Bio gives birds a smooth and shiny plumage. The majority of plumage damage that occurs when keeping birds can be exclusively attributed to poor nutrition. As an “epithelial protection vitamin“, vitamin A improves the functionality and infection defense of diverse cell structures as a result of increased antibody production. Vitamin E provides protection for the cell membranes, an orderly energy metabolism and an intact immune system. Vitamin K helps maintaining the functionality of the blood clotting system. Other vitamins, trace elements and amino acids, which are very important for intermediate metabolic cycle, are included in a balanced proportion. NEKTON-Q should only be used as needed in cases of illness. No other vitamin compound should be administered whilst using this.

NEKTON-R-Beta prevents feather colors from fading and positively influences the natural shine and brightness of the whole plumage. Due to the vitamin complex contained within, the bird is supported through the entire molting/rearing process and additionally supplied with all important nutrients. NEKTON-R-BETA contains a high amount of the highly effective colorant beta carotene, which is found in nature. NEKTON-R-Beta is administered in the drinking water or soft feed at the beginning of molting/rearing until the end of molting or as soon as the bird‘s color is fully restored. No other vitamin compound should be administered whilst using NEKTON-R-Beta.
