VOTE-PAMELA FRISK FOR TX-NENA PANHANDLE REGIONAL COORDINATOR
Howdy Texas NENA Members, My name is Pamela Frisk and I’d like to tell you a little about myself. I started my career at the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission (PRPC) in 2008. I immediately began creating criteria for telecommunicator training and worked hard to improve our 9-1-1 public education program. At present, I am responsible for 9-1-1 public education, 9-1-1 telecommunicator training, special event planning, publishing our Region’s quarterly newsletter, providing 9-1-1 addressing and facilitating telecommunicator appreciation for 24 counties in the Top of Texas Panhandle. My education includes a bachelor’s degree in General Studies with an emphasis on Public Administration and Criminal Law, an associates’ degree in Criminal Justice Education, a certified NCMEC trainer, TTY instructor and TCOLE instructor. Prior to working at PRPC, I was a telecommunications officer, a licensed jailer, a deputy sheriff and a police officer. Presently I work with area 9-1-1 public educators, maintain our regions’ social media sites, train telecommunicators in all areas including licensing and 9-1-1 equipment training. I am a member of the 9-1-1 Public Educators of Texas, National 9-1-1 Public Educator’s Forum, Texas 9-1-1 Trainers, and I serve on various committees at the state and national levels that help in the implementation of programs for 9-1-1 and provide vital telecommunicator training.
