THE UPCOMING spring/summer music season in Pittsburgh comes packed with big concerts, festivals, new series, and more. From classic rock acts to current hitmakers to local favorites, Pittsburgh City Paper has a list of who to watch out for and where to see them from now through August.

The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra presents Disrupt, a new concert series described as “doing classical differently.” For Persist: Shostakovich No. 10, audiences at Heinz Hall will get access, not only to a great live performance, but interactive pre-concert activities, themed cocktails, and more. The first-ever Oakland Indie Festival will gather nine local bands in an effort to help those impacted by the devastating East Palestine train derailment in nearby Ohio and western Pennsylvania communities. The benefit concert, taking place on Flagstaff Hill in Schenley Park, will feature Quiet Hours, Funky Lamp, MR.DR, Claycoast, Sedona, Moontown, Wild Blue Yonder,
