IN THE SPOTLIGHT A Big Thank You!

Thank you to the colleagues who volunteered to Lend a Hand over the past two weeks! Support Centre teams were able to cover 70 Centre shifts across Barton Hall, Boreatton Park and Marchants Hill! We know how much colleagues appreciated it and it gave those who aren't usually on centre a great insight into how they are run leading up to and during peak times. Our volunteers were amazed at the friendliness, commitment and great teamwork across the centres and many were shocked at just how many burgers can be served in one sitting! Thanks again #TeamPGL!

IN THE SPOTLIGHT Are You a Yes or No Parent?

Are you a yes or no parent? Our consumer team have been working on their latest PR campaign with Parenting expert Anita Cleare. Did you know that parents say ‘no’ to their children 8,395 times a year – with staying up late, having sweets before bed and buying something when shopping likely to get the negative response. A survey of 2,000 adults, with children aged one to 16-yearsold, revealed parents reject their kids' questions and queries an average of 23 times a day! We’ve created a fun interactive calculator so you can see if you’re a yes or no parent! Click here to take the test. You can read more about how our PGL outdoor adventures can help kids here!

IN THE SPOTLIGHT Stepping Up Our Support for New Working Parents in PGL Group UK

The People and Culture Team are delighted to announce that on 1st July 2022 we are launching our new Maternity, Adoption and Paternity policies, providing a better approach to supports colleagues who start or grow their family whilst working as part of #TeamPGL! We recognise that expanding your family is one of the most exciting and joyful experiences you can have, but it can also be a challenging time with financial implications and significant lifestyle changes. Our new policies will include a step change in the benefits provided to UK based colleagues, enhancing the colleague experience by providing access to “above statutory” pay for the first 26 weeks of maternity and adoption leave (where eligible), a more structured approach to supporting all colleagues successfully returning to work when the time comes, as well as enhancing our paternity pay policy to enable partners to spend a bit more quality time with their new arrival. We look forward to sharing more information with you about these changes on 1st July, looking at ways we can provide similar opportunities
