NEOSTRATA CORE TECHNOLOGIES ALPHA HYDROXY ACIDS (AHAs): are a family of naturally occurring acids that work as exfoliants and also target skin’s supportive matrix. Glycolic Acid (AHA): Glycolic Acid is a natural constituent of sugar cane and normalizes the skin’s exfoliation process refining the appearance of pore size and smoothing the look of fine lines and wrinkles as it re-texturizes skin. NEOSTRATA products formulated with Glycolic Acid have been enhanced with an innovative delivery system known as our Smart Amphoteric Complex. Our Smart Amphoteric Complex provides the ability to deliver Glycolic Acid in a gradual fashion, ensuring maximum efficacy while minimizing the potential for irritation. Glycolic Acid is known to be the workhorse of the AHA family for those looking to really retexture and refine their skin’s surface. Citric Acid (AHA/BHA): Citric Acid is found naturally in citrus fruits and is a powerful Alpha/Beta Hydroxy Acid that has antioxidant and corrective antiaging effects, helping to minimize the visible signs of photodamage. POLYHYDROXY ACIDS (PHAs): are the 2nd and 3rd generation of Hydroxy Acids. They work as exfoliants yet are designed for sensitive and dehydrated skin due to their natural gentleness. PHAs provide high strength antiaging benefits, are known antioxidants and do not make the skin sensitive to sunlight. Notably, they can be used for even the most delicate skin types. PHAs are the ingredient solution for providing renewed exfoliated softness and clarity, but doing so in a gentle, hydrating way for all skin types. Gluconolactone (PHA): is found naturally in the skin and provides antiaging and gentle exfoliating benefits without sun sensitivity.
