Randa Warren, M.S., CWE, DWS Master Sommelier, Certified Wine Educator, Diploma of Wine and Spirits Join us for part one of our Wine Exploration Series: “Tasting and Pairing Wine the Master’s Way,” under the guidance of Randa Warren, Master Sommelier. Randa is one of 16 female Master Sommeliers in the United States, a Certified Wine Educator and holds WSET’s Diploma of Wine and Spirits. She will be joining forces with la Villa Restaurant’s Chef Alex Forsythe to bring you 5 scrumptious appetizers paired with 5 delicious wines. In this fun-filled one-hour session, Randa will teach you how to taste wine the ‘Master’s Way’ and discuss the evening’s food and wine pairings. Afterwards, we will have a short question and answer period. Come prepared to explore the depths of your taste buds. When you leave this event, you will have sharper wine tasting skills and a broader understanding of food and wine pairing. Space is limited, so reservations will be taken for 5 – 6 pm, 6:30 – 7:30 pm, and 8 – 9 pm

Meet the winemakers from some of the finest California vineyards without making the trip to Napa Valley. This is your chance to get the answers to your burning questions about the art of winemaking as you sample their newest selections. Stay for dinner and enjoy a $25 dining credit (one per table). Thursday, May 12, 4 – 7 pm The Brasserie Restaurant & Bar Patio $50/Philbrook member, $60/not yet member

Enter the blind tasting contest to see how well you can distinguish various components of wine. Put your knowledge to the test and identify grape varietals, old and new world origin and price point without seeing the label. Prizes will be awarded. Reservations are recommended if you would like to stay for a delicious dinner at The Brasserie after you have completed the contest.
