THE EVOLUTION OF FORM AND FUNCTION In designing Genesis, we set out to re-imagine the premium sedan. To create a vehicle that’s emotional and evocative, yet restrained and elegant. One that balances its striking road presence with a highly rewarding driving experience. This approach has already led to the 2015 Genesis capturing the imagination of both motorists and the motoring media. When it comes to its brilliant use of technology, Genesis was named by the CES International Consumer Electronics Show, TechHive and PC World, as winner of the ‘Best Car Tech’ category. Other accolades have included: ‘Highest Ranked Midsize Premium Car in Initial Quality’ for two years in a row by the industry rating agency J.D. WIDE PANORAMA GLASS ROOF The fluidic design philosophy extends to the twin-panel panorama glass roof*. Flooding the cabin with light, it also provides shade and insulation from wind, and offers relief from the heat and external noise. At the touch of a button, the front roof panel opens for an even sportier driving experience, while a wind deflector reduces the vibration effects of wind.

To achieve this, Genesis was subjected to tireless world-class testing on global and local roads and racetracks, including the famous Nürburgring circuit in Germany and Hyundai’s own proving grounds in the Mojave Desert, USA. To deliver luxury sedan handling with Australian comfort and dependability, Genesis was subjected to a 12-month localisation and tuning program. This covered thousands of kilometres and hundreds of individual evaluations across urban and country roads, as well as dirt, gravel and corrugated surfaces. It was also heat and dust tested on outback roads. As a result, Genesis provides the highest levels of agility, responsiveness and balance in all Australian driving conditions.

STATIC BENDING LIGHTS Cornering headlights, activated by the steering direction, give greater night time visibility, so even blind spots are illuminated. INTUITIVE BEYOND BELIEF Genesis is intelligently equipped with intuitive technologies that add greater comfort and safety. THE WORLD’S FIRST CO2 SENSOR. A smart air conditioning system * automatically activates the ventilation system when elevated levels of carbon dioxide are detected in the vehicle’s cabin. SENSORY SURROUND ™ SAFETY AUTONOMOUS EMERGENCY BRAKING (AEB) Combining radar and camera data, the AEB system autonomously activates the brakes when it detects dangerous and sudden braking by the car ahead. LANE DEPARTURE WARNING (LDW) A camera mounted on top of the windshield enables Genesis to recognise the markings on the lane you’re driving in and, if it detects an unintended departure, initiates an alert to the driver. LANE CHANGE ASSIST (LCA) The LCA system provides a visual warning when radars detect a vehicle that is approaching rapidly from the rear. When the turn signal is being used, a flashing warning as well as an audible and haptic alert (delivered via the steering wheel), notify the driver of the potential hazard. BLIND SPOT DETECTION (BSD)* When driving at a speed of 30km/h or higher, the BSD function will alert the driver to blind spot objects in close proximity, including during lane changes. PARK ASSIST SYSTEM (PAS) When parking, eight surround sensors emit an audible warning sound to alert you to objects that might be outside your field of vision, while the area behind the vehicle is also displayed on the centre console HD touchscreen. The electro-chromatic interior mirror automatically dims during night time driving to reduce rear-view mirror glare. Activating the ‘Auto Hold’ function keeps the vehicle stationary until the acceleration pedal is depressed. ELECTRIC FOLDING SIDE MIRRORS WITH PUDDLE LAMPS The aerodynamically designed side mirrors fold at the push of a button, while puddle lamps are automatically activated when the driver approaches the car. PARK ASSIST SYSTEM (PAS) When parking or manoeuvring into tight spaces, four sensors front and rear emit a warning sound to alert you to objects that might be outside your field of vision. SOLAR GLASS
LED ambient lighting in the Genesis’ interior creates a relaxing environment for driving at night. POWER REAR BLIND The power rear blind ensures that rear-seat passengers enjoy maximum comfort even on the hottest and brightest day.
To increase comfort for all occupants, the Genesis’ windows utilise solar glass to reduce heat. SMART KEY AND PUSH BUTTON START The proximity smart key allows you to unlock and lock your Genesis without using the key, and turn on the engine by simply pushing the start button. RAIN SENSING WIPERS Windscreen sensors automatically turn on the wipers, providing hands-free convenience and safer driving during rainy weather. TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) Displayed in the central instrument cluster, the TPMS alerts you when the tyre pressure is low, so you can avoid a potentially dangerous situation arising. HANDS-FREE SMART BOOT The Smart Boot release opens the boot automatically whenever the smart key is detected in close proximity for more than three seconds.
ALL AUTO POWER WINDOWS Power windows feature front and rear auto up/down and incorporate ‘pinch protection’, which stops the window’s movement when an object is in its path. STATIC BENDING LIGHTS Night driving visibility and safety are enhanced by cornering headlights that are activated by the steering direction to illuminate blind spots.

PREMIUM LEATHER PACKAGE The soft comfort of leather* is extended to the steering wheel and gear shift knob as well as to other interior surfaces.
The Sensory Pack upgrades the standard Genesis with the following features: BLIND SPOT DETECTION (BSD) When the BSD system detects traffic in blind spots, it provides illuminated warnings on the side-mirrors. If the turn signal is activated, it also issues an audible alert. REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT When reversing, Genesis alerts you to objects detected that are approaching on the left and right sides of the vehicle.
POWER BOLSTER AND EXTENDABLE BASE (DRIVER’S SEAT) Genesis allows each driver to find the ideal and most comfortable position by injecting air to bolster the seat and extending it for further leg support. DRIVER’S SEAT MEMORY SYSTEM The electric 16-way adjustable power seat features a two-setting integrated memory system to store your preferred setting. POWER TILT AND TELESCOPIC STEERING With power tilt and telescopic steering it’s easy to adjust the Genesis steering wheel for optimum driving comfort.
