For a fleeting moment, during the Weimar Republic (1919-33), the arts and sciences in Germany erupted in a feverish explosion of invention and creativity. In this colourful series (opening 9 Jun), Esa-Pekka Salonen celebrates a place and a time when the human imagination flourished in impossible ways that still delight, fascinate and influence us today.
