Design and the posthumanistic perspective
About Me Originally from the archipelago in the western part of Sweden, whose landscapes offer constantly shifting atmospheres. I would like to believe that these different atmospheres have laid the foundations of my own design work. Last year I had the opportunity of working with What! Arkitektur as an intern, where I was excited to finally practice the profession I have trained for. The past 9 months I have worked at expanding my current perspectives of architecture by exploring the relationships between architecture and design through free standing courses at the Academy of Design and Craft at the University of Gothenburg. My passions within the architecture profession is many, but the ones I almost always find myself in caring about the most is the aestestic design and how it is affecting us in the human scale; through light, volume, materiality and tectonics. This portfolio is constructed as a catalouge, you scroll through and let your eyes read the images instead of text. The context in the portfolio represents a handful of my work done from my period as a bachelor student at the Aarhus School of Architecture in Denmark, and of freestanding courses done at the Academy of Design and Craft at the University of Gothenburg. The projects have been handpicked and reflect how I have grown as an architect and designer.

Semester Project. Second Semester.
The site was located in a green area around the Brabrand lake of Aarhus. The building was a mix of a shelter, motel and rest area for primarily birdwatchers (but also anyone who passed by) where the design was infromed by site. The goal was to create a building where birdwatchers might have access to the 360° panorama of the forest and field.

Third Semester.
The assignment of the semester was to create a prototype in a 1:1 scale, where the wall would filter the light through the facade. My classmate and I decided to add another step of complexity by incorporating a moving element for multi-variety expression.

Semester Project. Fourth Semester.
This semester assigment was to design a space for immigrants in the urban context. I approched the assigment as an urban living room. The facade is closed on first floor towards the street for minimal exposure of the user of the space, with a big glass facade toward the courtyard and daily sun. Q: Why the imposing architecture on the site, if you want minimalize the privacy of the immigrants? The cutting architecture gives the nesseceray privacy for its users, but raise awareness to the public of the life of an immigrant fleeing from war, instead of completely hiding the building in its context. Personal goals: To improve and design with Grasshopper.

PERSONAL PROJECT: Spring 2018
Lighthouse
The shape is inspired by waves that hit the rocks. Due to the metallic materials, and the rotation of the lighthouse, the lighthouse reflects natural light in all angles and stands as a beacon during the day aswell. Personal goals: To improve my rendering skills and usage of photoshop.

Semester Project. Sixth Semester.
Located in the active cultural area of Godsbanen in Aarhus, we designed a housing project for international students and teachers exploring the domesticity of dorms. The housing units are lifted from the ground with archs inspired by the typology of the site´s long cargo-halls where trains once delivered resources into the city. The open public groundfloor space gives back the opportunity to activities both outside and inside the building.
Drawing of the Year ‘18 Theme: Shaping a new Reality
Aarhus School of Architecture hosts a competition every year, where a drawing though digital tools shall be presented. My contribution tells a story of what would happen if we could see everywhere on earth eye to eye. Conceptual peeling the earth off into a sprial, constructing a “spaceship” where new borders are formed and new knowledge and understanding can be shared.
Between Design & Architecture Spring 2019
For this fase of the course we visited the Verksmidjan Hjalteyri, an old herring factory transformed into a creative hub. The larger open space of the factory have turned into an art exhibition space, where artists around the world are invited to come and explore the factory and island to create art related to their experience. Our assingment was to design the kitchenspace and sleeping area for the artist visiting the space. I was part of the group focused on the sleeping area and the beds. The result was a vernacular design as the best we could both through materiality and aesthetic. The beds are directly inspired by the Icelandic fish drying racks found on the island. Everything was built with spruce wood, and was final with fishing nets, weaved in local traditonal patterns.
