ABOUT US Founded in 2012, Theatre Philadelphia unites, celebrates, and promotes the Philadelphia region’s diverse and growing theatre comunity. We lead efforts that expand audiences and engage the public to participate in our community’s work. Theatre Philadelphia envisions an equitable and inclusive region that champions and nurtures local artists. We aim to raise our city’s profile as a worldclass city and enrich the lives of Philadelphia-area citizens. LANESHE MILLER-WHITE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR LaNeshe Miller White (she/her) is a cultural producer, actress, and marketer. She is a graduate of Temple University's School of Communications and Theater. She believes in using art for social change and is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Theatre in the X, a West Philadelphia based theater company that produces accessible theater productions for Black audiences and provides opportunities for Black artists. Katherine Elisabeth Clark Marketing and Communications Director Katherine Clark (she/her) joined Theatre Philadelphia in September 2017. As Theatre Philadelphia’s Marketing and Communications Director, she focuses on building audiences and awareness for Philadelphia’s thriving theatre community, via initiatives like Philly Theatre Week. In addition to her work at Theatre Philadelphia, Katherine is a community arts advocate and filmmaker. CJ Higgins Operations and Programs Coordinator CJ Higgins (they/them) is a theatre artist who specializes in acting, directing, music, devising, playwriting, producing, and whatever else a project needs at a given moment. They are the Director of Production & Communications for The Hum’n’bards Theatre Troupe, through which they have collaborated on many productions including A Queer Christmas Carol, The Hazards of Love, and The #Knightlife Renaissance Faire.

Then her successor literally erased her from history by chiseling her name and face off of any monument of her, which made her disappear from history for over 3000 years.Her story, which deserves to be told in its own right, is also relevant and analogous to the current events of today. We currently live in an age of misinformation where erasure of history runs rampant and remembering the past is more vital than ever before. Learn the do’s and don’ts of grant writing, get insight on grants available to artists and small companies, and ask all the questions you’ve ever had about getting grants. Comedy, Improv Die-Cast After The Before Times April 3 and April 6 - 10, Open from 11:00am - 5:00pm Da Vinci Art Alliance 704 Catharine St. Philadelphia, PA 19147 An immersive installation and performance art video project that explores the climate crisis. In the soft quiet of a night somewhere in the future, a woman tells her loved one stories of the “before times.” A series of intimate bedtime stories paint the portrait of a world flooded and a society separated into small, isolated communities. Each story is vividly rendered using movement, text, and music filmed with 360° cameras. Devised, Experimental, World Premiere, Installation Esperanza Arts Center The Nichos Community Project Saturday, April 2, 7:30pm - 8:30pm 4261 N 5th St Philadelphia, PA 19140 What is the cultural essence that endures in the Mexican identity, in spite of conquest, colonization, exile, assimilation, and subsequent cross-cultural generations? The Nichos Community Project is a multidisciplinary theater performance, highlighting Mexican immigrants striving to preserve their languages and traditions. Lupine Performance Cooperative Miranda April 1-10 In overlapping timelines, Miranda and her son Grayson caretake for a motel in upstate New York as a spaceship heads out to the cosmos to investigate a gravitational anomaly. Mei and Hal are stuck at the motel when their car breaks down. Other characters weave in and out, and as the chemistry between Mei and Grayson grows, Miranda is positive that she is stranded on earth due to a serious misstep in the universe. Laws of physics and imbalances in the gravitational system begin to unravel, leaving us unclear about what is real, and what is just in our heads. Ultimately, Benny wins the argument, and Yolanda is sent to “el home.” When a pandemic hits and they are no longer able to go inside during visiting hours, the family is forced to confront one another while visiting her at the window. Yolanda will never find herself alone, as she is constantly in the care and presence of a special visitor.
