(1994), USA All-American Scholar (1994)) is the Founding CEO and Director of the Thought initiative and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Philosophy at SJU (1996She has served as the primary advisory instructor for Gabriella’s Independent on the topic of the Philosophy of Philanthropy in the Spring 2023 Semester

Thought’s Board of Directors, namely, Konstantine Ouranitsas, Alexandra Liotopoulos and Anna Pierratos provided collaborative administrative guidance and support in the form of candid interviews and mentoring throughout the semester

Gabriella Marie Pizzolo (English Major, Philosophy Minor, St. John's Univ. (2025)) is the 2023 Intern at Philo4Thought and Founder of Love1Another a philanthropic initiative designed to bring good cheer and vital resources to those in need (See fundraising project on Page 24 of this brochure ) Gabriella is a philosophy enthusiast with a passion for research, history, the creative arts, volunteerism and spreading awareness on pressing contemporary topics.

Today’s discussion takes a deconstructionist approach to the metaphysical concept of “Giving” as it pertains to philanthropic work
