WHAT DOES GRAPHICS MEAN TO ME? 02

I believe it’s about making the everyday things that we pass without noticing and forcing the viewer to notice it and revaluating it in a new way.

DOODLE STRIP PROJECT

04

For this project we had to create a medium sized strip that contained a lot of drawings and doodles from people within our whole group. I enjoyed this project as it meant we had to be inventive with the way we mixed our style of work with others work.

WORLD FILM POSTER

THE ORIGINAL HAND MADE POSTER, THAT WAS CREATED USING A LARGE MAIN STENCIL WITH A INK BASED IMAGE BEHIND.

For this porject we had to develop our skills in the use of graphic visual language, it involved us incorporating different combinations of typographic with illustrative and photographic images in the development of our designs. As i started to experiment with ideas I found that i liked the way the vibrant inks expressed the originality of the posters design.

ETHICAL FAHION POSTER

08

THIS IS MY FINAL RESULT FOR THIS PROJECT,THAT WAS CREATED USING INDESIGN. I WAS REALLY PLEASED WITH THE FINISHED DESIGN AS I FEEL I’VE TAKEN THE CONCEPTS OF SWISS INTERNATIONAL STYLE AND MADE THEM MY OWN. I THINK THE POSTER GETS THE MESSAGE ACROSS WELL, AS THE COLOURS AND TEXT ARE POWERFUL.

TYPE & LETTERFORMS

For this project we were learning to develop our understanding, knowledge and skills of how typefaces and letter forms communicate messages to different audiences. To do this we had to create two A2 quotes, One quote could be about any issue, but one must have some design relevance.

At the start we had a free choice in the way we created the work so to begin with, I did some research on a range of artists such as Ed Ruscha and Rick Myers, but also looked into quotes that I liked. As I continued through the project I discovered that my ideas had lead me to do a more free-hand approach. This project helped me to appreciate the way quotes can provoke someone to become encouraged to change the way they see the world and the people around them.

PHOTOGRAPHY

These photographs were taken in my spare time as it is one of my favourite hobbies. Like most of my images they are based around the theme of nature and architecture, The inspiration for them comes from the area around me and looking at photography blogs and websites. I relish being able to interpret a scene or memory the way I want it to be shown to other audiences. Photography has enabled me to learn that you are continually looking at everything through and thought and that the subject of the photo is more important than the picture.
