My name is Idella Madison
From Piscataway,NJ USA
I was inspired by my father TW Fair who was a freelance photographer in the 60's and my brother, Alvin Fair, who owned Studio One. But it was John F. Kennedy library in Piscataway, NJ where I spent my time reading on photography.
My first camera was a Nikon andi still shoot with it to this day. My photography journey began shooting in my neighborhood and at school events. My first photo published was a photo of Queen Latifah in Black Beat magazine, then VIBE, followed by Source Magazines, MCA and MOTOWN Records. My photo of PRINCE was featured in Nelson George's film Finding the FUNK.
I have also been blessed to have traveled the world shooting George Clinton's Parliament Funkadelic and many others.
I am now retired from photography because of glaucoma BUT I still have ONE GOOD EYE.
Thank you for coming to Photos by Idella.
