For Milan’s Design Week, a sculpture made of 1,670 terracotta modules, laced together and stacked vertically, was erected in a courtyard at the University of Milan.
Interior surfaces, cut at varied angles to create an undulating contour, are illuminated by 15-deg LED fixtures within the terracotta groupings, causing the core to glow.
