Conception
For this particular cultural work, as a result of culture, it has to preserve the great qualities of architecture, as a cause of culture, it has to share and promote those qualities to everyone.
As a result
The building preserves the spirituality of Vietnamese architecture, the spirit inherited from traditional architecture. The layers of shades, the interplay of in and out, architectural abstractions, etcetera. are now again investigated in the new conditions of the Vietnamese civilisation.
As a cause
The building demonstrates this spirituality by becoming a part of the urban infrastructure, just as it is a part of the cultural, societal structure, an open entrance, a public park, and a unique vision where people in the city can contemplate the cultural values preserved in art ... or in architecture.
VOLUME SHELL
PROGRAM COMMUNAL HOUSE (ĐÌNH) OF BẢNG VILLAGE
THE REAL PERMANENT ELEMENTS What has been creating spaces is only the roof as a figurative separation. And there hasn’t ever been the idea of inside or outside, there has been just covered or not covered.
VOLUME - SHELL - PROGRAM? The SHELL isn’t really necessary because it fosilizes the volume and fosilizes the senses about the surrounding spaces.
Intimacy - taste
SPACES AND PROGRAMS What really can’t be separated from users is in the end just the programs through the different spaces where the feelings aren’t constrained by the SHELL.
Vietnamese architecture identity? Architecture shouldn’t be created, it should be interpreted from the architecture of nature into the architecture of humans. Architecture has always been in landscape, in the natural biotope. Therefore, the natural-ness of architecture is necessary, architecture should appear like a landscape that human walks in.

EPISODE 2
Isolation and integration Memorial, public cultural space 2017 Bac +1
As a child, every Vietnamese was told the same story about their origin, the story of “Bọc Trăm Trứng” (the 100-egg embryo). According to the legend, Lạc Long Quân, the god of sea, and Âu Cơ, the fairy, got married. Âu Cơ later gave birth to an embryo with a hundred eggs, each egg later became a child. Unfortunately, for the differences between their fates, one is to protect the sea, one is to belong to the mountains, Lạc Long Quân and Âu Cơ, each leading 50 children, left each other to fullfil their fates. At the time of farewell, they made a vow protect each other despite the distance between mountains and seas. Then, the oldest son following Âu Cơ to the mountains became the king and built their first nation, Việt Nam.
Located in Tao Đàn park, one of the oldest and biggest parks in Sài Gòn, the memorial is a reminder to generations of Vietnamese people about their origins and values. Integrating a memorial in a public park is a way of education about culture, history, and identity.

Percussion #2
Extension of Library of General Sciences Ho Chi Minh city 2021 Graduation Project | Bac +5
This project insists on the idea of circumstantial translations of parameters already embedded on the site. Besides the technical dimensions, this site hosts a much broader cultural and heritage dimension that together play great importance in the memories of the citizens and in the urban fabric of Saigon. The original Vietnamese modernist building, and its extension, is a manifestation of these longignored dimensions. Keeping in mind the democratic features of a public institution and of its urban role, the library adheres to its context, attaches to its residents and bypassers by opening up a new public park, intertwined with public services on the ground level. This buffer zone of amenities plays as a landmark for orientation, radiating vertically to reading facilities. The underground spaces make the most out of their unique configuration, allowing light wells together with interior gardens for a more responsible climatization, noise cancellation, and a rather introvert intimacy needed in free, open, intellectual exchanges. These requirements offer a great deal of challenging and exciting technical inventions.

yin, counter-yin, yang a Vietnamese urban shophouse | 4-member family 2021 Bac +5
Yang is the seen. Yin is the unseen. In the ancient house, what is the Yin, what is the Yang? The Yang, in the end, includes the roof structure and the system of movable partitions. Yet the Yin is indefinite, the Yin is all the rest, from the inside out. So, the terrace is the most balanced point of the Yin between the inside and the outside, between the active and the tranquil. Therefore, the terrace is a place of life contemplation. Then in an urban shophouse, whose needs increase, area decreases, yet technology progresses, what are Yin and Yang? And what will that most balanced point, that unseen Yin where everything happens, become? To be continued!

Percussions Sport Arena | 2500 seats 2020 Bac +4
Sài Gòn is one of the most intensively but also vibratly urbanised cities in the world. The project imagines a new sport arena in the new E-Sport Innovation District just 20 minutes from the city center. Yet, it is this very arrival of the new development that raises concerns about cultural identity and ecological sustainablity. In response, the project considers this building of public events as a percussion of different variables between the new and the old, the modern and the traditional as well as between the architecture and its circumstances. This project experiments how the circumstances, including the regional climate, the site, the terrain, under the constraints of programmatical complexity, translate themselves into their materialized forms. Along this process, the project tries to guard the translations as pure and direct as possible in the hope that the spirituality of the circumstances will reverberate into the spirituality of architecture. After examining many examples of Vietnamese mid-20th century modernist architecture, the only modernist branch of the world that considers spirituality as an indispensable goal, this project finds itself in the most explicite translations from circumstances to architecture, which are shade and suspension. As high, stable solar radition and high humidity require sunshade structures and ventilating devices, a suspended structure that casts shade in some very sensuous manners, has been the architectural element that can solve a pragmatic issue and evoke emotions at the same time.

Negative axes Public Cultural Park 2020 Bac +5 Honorable Award Competition for Public Cultural Spaces of Hồ Chí Minh City - Association of Hồ Chí Minh City’s Architects Urbanisation in Hồ Chí Minh city is characterized by its sponteniety caused by uncontroled immigrations and inhabitations. This creates an organic urban morphology that is unique but at the same time has many problems when it comes to density and citizens’ well-being. Public spaces, especially cultural public spaces, are extremely lacked. This project investigates and proposes a somewhat mental solution to connect people to new cultural activities.

Emergence Art center Castets-en-Dorthe, France 2022 Bac +6
Our questioning began with the synthesis of the place, the idea of this place. Castets-en-Dorthe, as a meeting point between the Garonne and the Lateral Canal is the subject of a delicate balance of constant tension. This is what makes it a landscape of exciting spaces, but very fragmented, very close, but separate. To solve this dilemma, it is necessary to bring together these experiences through an adhesive idea. Apprehension, creation and contemplation will emerge naturally and spontaneously through our intervention. So, by seeking and choosing a principle axe capable of connecting everything, by simplicity, the architecture emerges from the landscape. A work of translation of the contextual circumstances was carried out. Finally, the spaces of creation, exhibition as well as multiple walking paths are to intervene conceptually to the whole idea of what Castets-enDorthe is. By playing with its content from the start, it would no longer be a place to visit but a place to stay, to create, to watch, to think and to find oneself.
