President’s Message Linda Walton Greetings!
“An Enchanted Evening”
On behalf of the Phoenix Chapter of the Links, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our 32nd Biennial Cotillion and offer my congratulations to the beautiful young ladies who will be presented. Tonight, as our theme indicates, this will be “An Enchanted Evening” for these talented young ladies who will be presented to society and recognized for their outstanding accomplishments to their school, church and community. Founded in 1946, the Links, Inc. is one of the oldest and largest volunteer service organizations in the country. The Phoenix chapter is proud to have provided community service to the Valley for over 60 years. Because of the dedication and commitment of over 40 outstanding women who choose to serve this community through their links of friendship, the Phoenix chapter will continue to provide transformational, sustaining programs as well as civic and social events, such as this Cotillion. We salute and thank the parents of our Debutantes and Escorts who allowed us the opportunity to work with their daughters and sons and have supported this journey through a considerable amount of time and money. We also want to thank the community as a whole for your support through sponsorships, purchasing of ads and your attendance this evening. Finally, I would like to extend a special thanks to the Cotillion Chairperson, Dr. Lindell Collins, Co-chairpersons Dr. Rosalyn Keith and Ms. Lovie West for their leadership, Mrs. Gina Stephens for her outstanding talent as choreographer and all of my Link sisters for their dedication and hard work. Again, Congratulations, Debutantes! We wish you much success in your future endeavors. Warm Regards, Linda Walton, President Phoenix Chapter of the Links

CotillionChairperson’s Message Welcome to “An Enchanted Evening” where fifteen poised and beautiful young ladies will be presented into society on this special occasion. The preparation began with the Parents and Guardians, as they have prepared these young women from birth to be courteous, studious, disciplined, compassionate, inquisitive, brave and of good character.
Lindell Y. Collins Cotillion Chairperson
Rosalyn Keith
Cotillion Co-Chairperson
As Debutantes, these young women exemplify dedication, perseverance and grace. They have had workshops and training in career choices, financial responsibility, HBCU’s as a choice, verbal skills and how to interview, poise, the social graces and the importance of being a volunteer in the community and beyond. The Debutantes presented this evening now belong to an elite sisterhood. They will be bonded for all eternity and always known as “The Debutantes of The Phoenix Links 32nd Biennial Cotillion.” I pray that they embrace all they have learned and experienced these last five months and that they will pay it forward. The Members of The Phoenix Chapter of The Links, Incorporated would like to thank the Parents, Grandparents, God Parents and Guardians for their faith in us to add the finishing touch to this glorious evening. This process began with the submission of an application and an interview. Required letters of recommendation and high school transcripts were reviewed by the Cotillion Committee. Letters of acceptance were sent to the young ladies and the Parent Orientation was completed thus, the real work began. The Debutantes and their Families have worked tirelessly these past five months. We recognize the time invested, financial responsibility, challenges of schedules, dance rehearsals, finding that perfect dress, finding an escort who would be “forever the perfect gentleman” and supportive in this process, while continuing to excel in scholastic and extracurricular activities. The 32nd Biennial Cotillion Debutantes have been successful in this process, and tonight the audience should be honored to witness the result. To the Debutantes, it has been a pleasure to serve as your Cotillion Chairperson and “Always honor your beginnings.”
Lovie West

Mistress of Ceremonies Susan Casper Susan Casper is host of Sonoran Living Live on ABC15. She is a proud military “brat” who had the privilege of spending much of her childhood growing up on Spangdahlem Air Force Base in Germany. Her family’s tour overseas afforded her unbelievable experiences, including watching spectacular fireworks shows along the Rhine River, dining in Paris, walking through windmills in Holland and touring the snow-capped mountains in Switzerland. Susan’s childhood love of traveling continues into adulthood. She now enjoys traveling to Arizona’s amazing landmarks including the Grand Canyon, discovering vortexes in Sedona, sledding in Flagstaff and boating on Saguaro Lake. Susan has always loved the media. She picked up her first microphone at age five and has not put it down to this day. She graduated from the University of West Florida in Pensacola with a B.A. degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in English Literature. Susan has done it all in her almost 20-year broadcast news career, including having the distinction of being the first African-America n woman to anchor a primetime newscast in Tampa. She joined ABC15 News team in 2008 as an anchor and reporter before moving to Sonoran Living Live in 2013. Susan has a passion for wanting to help people do better with their lives. When she is not working, you will find her in the community as a motivational speaker and volunteer. Susan also enjoys enticing her family’s palate with their favorite dishes like sweet and sassy meatballs on top of spaghetti squash, along with paella and Sprite pound cake. Susan says one of the best parts of hosting Sonoran Living Live is that she is able to learn new do-it-yourself projects, recipes and trends right along side the audience members. You can catch Susan on Sonoran Living Live weekdays at 9am on ABC15.
