LETTER FROM OUR VICE PRESIDENT OF MEMBERSHIP War Eagle! This semester has been a great one for the growth of our chapter in the addition of our newest class, Alpha Xi. Twelve outstanding bandmembers, each with unique assets to bring to the fraternity, made up a tight-knit class that excelled in every task of the Membership Candidate process. The Alpha Xi class hosted a Pi Day social featuring sweet and savory pies in celebration of our chapter; the event was complete with a pie-in-the-face contest! For their class fundraiser, the Membership Candidates hosted a restaurant night at Moe’s Southwest Grill, which was a great success that raised funds for our service to the Auburn University Bands. The MCs also performed a night of various service projects, including cleaning the band room, organizing old band media to be digitized, and creating goodie bags for the music department. While we had several projects, the MCs completed them swiftly and efficiently, performing “service with a smile.” While these class projects are a great measure of progress and success, over time it became evident that the MCs developed strong bonds with the brothers throughout the process. I was truly proud to be able to guide this class through the Membership Education Process, and they were as eager to learn and serve the Auburn University Bands as any class I have seen in the Pi chapter. I am certain that the Pi chapter will be even greater thanks to the leadership of the Alpha Xi class, who are continually striving for the highest! AEA, Sommer Branning Vice President of Membership 2014-15

SOUTHEAST DISTRICT EVENTS We had a blast at District Leadership Convention at Troy University. We met brothers and sisters from across the district! We especially liked hanging out with brothers from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, one of our little brother chapters!

At the Southeast District Convention, we attended workshops and received various ideas about how our chapter can continue to strive for the highest! We also bonded with the sisters of the Theta Lambda chapter of Tau Beta Sigma!

Thank you to everyone that came to support the Nu Nu Chapter at their 3rd Degree Ritual and Installation! It has been a pleasure being your big brother chapter. We look forward to seeing you serve the band programs at the University of Alabama!

SPRING SERVICE Pi had a busy semester full of service. We worked All-State registration for the local middle and high schoolers. We helped with the Auburn middle and high school honor bands. The MC class made goodie bags for the Music Department faculty, organized old pictures and videos of the band, and helped with pep band instrument return! We were also able to assist in several mail outs throughout the semester in the band library.

Our brothers always enjoy performing good music, whether it be in Nashville, TN at the Men’s SEC Basketball Tournament or in Auburn, AL at the Auburn University Concert Band concert.
