The front door opens straight into t he l iving room and a graceful but mascul ine SGCC steel-made shel f comes right into view. The shel f, in its essence, is a reflect ion of t he owners' personal it ies and what makes t hem unique.. The neat shel f l ining ends up wit h rounded wooden barks and brings out t he elegancy of t he design. The dark-colored wooden floor panels are arranged l ike rail- way tracks, which d ist inguishes it from t he l ight-colored floor in t he kitchen. The use of wooden floor contributes a warm and lov- able character to t he house.
Since family and friends always seem to gravitate to t he heart of t he home- kitchen, it 's only natural to want a home plan design t hat fea- tures t he most comfortable one possible. That is why we designed t he kitchen to share an open space wit h t he d ining room and t he l iving room. The M etal counter is l i nked to a bl ack j ade marbl e tabl e, and toget h e r forming a subt le l ight stream. Keelung is basical ly buil t on slope, which ensures ‘’Casa in Keelung’’ to have a surround ing balcony wit h perfect sea and mountain view. How ever, t he house was orginal ly a two-story fixer-upper t hat had been severely worn down by humid ity. The reconstruct ion took almost a year. Bright colored paint ing hung on t he entrence wal l, tried to l iven t he ro o m up a nd make it more w elcoming. CONCEPT SKETCHES Inspired by t he capacious Keelung Harbor, t he room has a 2.9- meter high ceil ing, which makes t he house visual ly bigger and brighter. The original ity can also be found in t he floor’s shape. As an at tempt to weave t he image of ocean into t he room, water-drop pattern was appl ied to t he teak floor. The pat tern extend from bedroom to l iving room, wit h a bookcase placed in between as part it ion. The bold floor combinat ion of t he pat terned teak and t he finishing-cement architectural-concrete creats an unique design aest het ics.

Curve l ine is a versat ile, simple and effect ive graphic element t hat is consistent ly used in t he design. It is appl ied to t he teak floor and t he sel ect i on of f urni ture. Col ors and Materi als are chosen to d irect ly implement t he dominant element. Transparency for instance, impl ies clarity and openness, which along wit h t he round shapes, creates an image of sea. CONTRUCTURE CONCEPT Bicycle product ion is constant ly making advancements, and t he demand for accurate designs and failsafe products is growing. The key t hought of t his structure is to por t t he precision in design of large build ing structures to a smal l-scale object. The chal lenge was to design an object t hat is basical ly a miniature, but is st il l able to meet aest het ical and funct ional requirements.
66
REACH THE GOAL OF FLEXIBLE The concept of t he frame is based on t he pylon. Interlaced branches replace t he regular, simple bicycle frame. The possibil it ies of t his variable structure have been tested out, re sul t ing in a des ign t hat can be ad justed up or down. The ad j ustabi l i ty not onl y i ncreases shock absorpt ion but also empowers t he user to change t he angle of t he frame and t he seat posit ion, which is a big improvement over common fixed frame designs in terms of flexibil ity.

RIDING POSI TIONS Triat hlon bike use aero bars to improve com f or t and eff i ci ency. The angel eff ect t he pos ture of t he rider. The triat hlon bike’s frame let your muscle (t high and back) more relax able, smoot h your breat h. On t he contrary, t he road bike has less space, and t he rider has to bow t he body to ride more wit h power, but by using t hose muscles make you ride more faster.
Entire body is lower but more comfortable. Skeletal angle is mre relaxed, bear weight easier.
Seat position is the same on road and trianthlon. Only frame geometry changes rider position.
Torso on triathlon frame is more ‘’open’’ and less cramped. This angle can make your feet more powerful to stamp the paddle.
ROAD+ AERO BAR TRIATHLON + AERO BAR
USERS CHOOSE THIER POSITION The angle of t he back triangle effect a lot. As long as t he seat point and padd le point sl ight ly changed, riders feel apparent ly d ifferent. General ly, t he frames are not build for a l l kind of people, so if t he frame can be flexible, t he users can choose t heir own posit ion, t he more comfortable one more p ow e rf ul one.
USERS CHOOSE THIER POSITION Using t he original frame to calculate t he deformat ion angle. The changing lengt h of t he frame l ike t he up figure, t hen consider t he d irect ion in 3 D. In 3D, such o verlapping l ines are separat- ed from each ot her to avoid tube col l ision. Provid ing space for expansion. The left and right side of t he tube extend in horizontal to o ffer safe d istance. The whole frame use chromium-molybde- num double but ted tube.
