LIFE
By fostering and sharing fine crafts, we enhance the quality of life in our community. What better place to start than our public schools? Our Artist in Residence Program features workshops that provide hands-on projects for students of all ages. Through the years, this exceptional program has inspired students and given them opportunities to engage with our artists on a personal level. One of our newest and most exciting programs is our partnership with Habitat for Humanity, which encourages and helps families create art for their new homes. Our artists-lead classes are available to all adults andchildren of Habitat for Humanity families. After all, shouldn’t everyone have the opportunity to have things of beauty in their lives?
ART
One visit to our Trade Street gallery or our annual Piedmont Craftsmen’s Fair will open your eyes to the breath-taking talent of our artists. Fine Craft comes in so many creative forms. Our artists’ pieces have found their way into museums and countless homes. Ceramic art? Of course. Spectacular, amazingly complex glass art? You bet. Jewelry? Get in line. You’ll also find amazing work in other mediums, including fiber, leather, metal, mixed media, printmaking, photography and wood. What does all of this work have in common? We believe its creativity. Freshness. Art that’s outside the box, inspiring and provocative.
GIVE
Fine Craft can be beautiful, inspiring and immensely creative. Not only is our artists’ work an expression of their creativity, it also makes a personal statement for those who own it.
Our bi-monthly How 2 Nights provide demonstrations and educational talks that are linked to our exhibitions in our Trade Street gallery. Artists share their work and demonstrate how they create it. These programs are free and open to the public.
We want to continue to help Fine Craft flourish and be here for future generations of artists and collectors. We want to continue to bring creativity to our community.

We can continue to preserve, encourage and share Fine Craft only if we have your financial support. All of our educational programs require funds for travel, per diems and materials. Simply put: the more money you can give, the more we can share art and provide new opportunities to artists, our community and our kids. And without your support, without Piedmont Craftsmen, some of our most inspiring expressions of creativity could go away. We’re asking you, as a sponsor for Fine Crafts, to be creative. Gather your friends. Talk to your book club or your civic group. Throw a backyard party. Sponsor a monthly How 2 Night at our gallery or a Habitat For Humanity craft teaching session. There are many ways to help and different levels of financial support.
Our Piedmont Craftsmen’s Fair has been held annually since 1963. The fair showcases art of more than 130 fine artists. It is a popular show that makes fine crafts accessible to people of all walks of life.
We create a connection between the maker, the object and the consumer, between artist and student, and between fine craft and the community.
