Sprinker Recreation Center is your community recreation headquarters. Nowhere in Pierce County will you find more family activities than right here on your back doorstep. We offer indoor and outdoor recreational facilities for all ages and abilities. First rate classes, programs and community events are what make Sprinker Recreation Center the place to play.
Programs currently offered: Ice Skating/Hockey, Tennis, Racquetball, Pickleball, Basketball, Skateboarding, Adult & Youth Recreation, Adult Slowpitch, Ice Bumper Cars, and Public Skate Sessions.
Please note: Per the Governor’s mandate masks are required to be worn at all times while visiting the facility.

LEARN-TO-SKATE
The Ice Sports Industry’s (ISI) Learn-To-Skate Program lets skaters progress at a comfortable pace.
Sprinker strives to provide a fun and safe experience while teaching the correct technique of basic elements and promoting health and physical fitness, enabling all participants to develop the skills necessary for a lifetime of skating.
Classes will be limited to 8 skaters per instructor in order to maintain social distancing.
Join the group lesson fun with Brookyln, Berkley, and Beckem
Attendance Punch Card will be given on the first day of class. Card must be shown each week at the Control Room. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of class. Make up lessons are not available.

ADVANCED SKATERS
Sprinker’s Christmas in February advanced performers
Hockey / Figure Power Combo
This class is designed to promote and develop speed, endurance and edging for hockey and figure skaters. Skaters should be proficient in forward and backward skating, edges and turns. Figure skaters must have passed delta level. Hockey skaters must be 8U and above. Masks and gloves must be worn at all times. Hockey skaters may wear full gear and use a hockey stick. Pucks are not allowed on the ice. Skaters must arrive dressed. Locker rooms are not available. ISI Membership or USA Hockey Membership IS required.

Freestyle Sessions - Private Lesson Info
Freestyle sessions are practice sessions reserved for figure skaters who are taking private lessons. All skaters must be registered as an ISI Learn To Skate member and/or a member of U.S. Figure Skating. Private lessons are available for all ages and abilities. Some students find that individual instruction is the best way to fine-tune their skating skills. Fees are paid directly to the instructor and do not include ice time or skate rental. To reserve freestyle session times or for private lesson information please contact our Figure Skating Director, Janice Forbes
Lakewood Winter Club
Lakewood Winter Club’s mission is to provide opportunities for skaters to develop and achieve individual potential through a total quality competitive skating program. Youth Hockey - Learn To Play
This program will focus on the skating skills used for hockey. Skaters will learn a variety of skills ranging from forward skating to backward skating on one and two feet, stick handling, and some game instruction.

Youth Hockey Gear Rental
Gear packages are intended for the younger (or smaller) beginning skater. Sizes run small so you will want to attend the fitting date for your session. Quantities are limited and therefore will be distributed at the fitting date or after the first class. Gear may be rented out for one session only and must be turned in (complete) prior to the start of the next session to receive full deposit refund. Package includes all gear with the exception of supporter with cup/or pelvic protector, internal mouth guard, full coverage throat protector/neck guard, hockey skates and hockey sticks. GEAR RENTAL IS NOT GUARANTEED.
