The Associated Students Organization (ASO) announced to the Academic Senate that they are planning to be environmentally friendly for the remainder of the school year.

Environmental Awareness Day is scheduled for Nov.17 in the Great Hall from 3p.m. to 6p.m. The event is organized by the Public Welfare/ Environmental Committee. It will feature guest speakers from Greenpeace and Heal The Bay.

“We will have vegan food, and guest speakers,” said Febe Ruiz, ASO Vice President.

At the event, students will have the opportunity to sign up for a beach clean up day which will take place Nov. 19 in Malibu.
