When it comes to Pierce students, McLean said that she learned the value of being selfsufficient.

“Students at Pierce are very resourceful, and they find a way to get things done on their own, which is fantastic,” McLean said. “That’s taught me a lot in that it’s okay to go ahead and find the answer yourself and to bring it back to confirm it with someone, but it is good to be a little independent and go out and do things on your own.” pkalidasan.roundupnews@gmail.com
