Situation


General :

+ For more than 25 years ! ☞ Third-generation family business founded in 1912. ☞ Small production, meticulous care taken in the vineyards and cellar. ☞ Properties located near the greatest growths of the Right-Bank. ☞ In 1912, François Estager left his native Corrèze (center of France) and went to live in Libourne where he founded the company “François Estager Wines”. He rapidly developed the sale of fine Bordeaux wines in northern France and Belgium. ☞ In 1934, his love of the land spurred him to become a winegrower and he began to purchase vineyards (Chateau La Papeterie in 1934 to La Cabanne in 1952). ☞ In 1966 he was succeeded by his son Jean-Pierre, who founded the company “Grands Vins Jean-Pierre Estager”, specializing in the sale of fine Bordeaux from the greatest Bordeaux vineyards. ☞ In 2001, François Estager, arrived in 1995, succeeded his father, Jean-Pierre …

Château La Papeterie 2011 10 hectares = 25 acres 70% Merlot – 30% Cabernet Franc Created around 1790, standing at the crossroads of four great
 appellations : Pomerol, Lalande-de-Pomerol, Saint-Emilion, and
 Montagne-Saint-Émilion. The name of “Papeterie” means a paper mill. They used this name because there were a paper mill on the small creek, just below the chateau. General Tasting : Nice robe with deep and profound color. Nose : Very aromatic, intense cherry aromas, subtle violet and white pepper aromas. Palate : Elegant and delicate wine. Intense red fruit hints, sweet tannins, round, good intensity and length. 2011 : To drink now (or can age few more years). Old wine that aged in our cellar before we sent it to you. Very good value.

Château La Cabanne 2004 10 hectares = 25 acres 92% Merlot – 8% Cabernet Franc Located on the high-plateau of Pomerol, adjacent to Pétrus, VCC, Le Pin, Trotanoy ... Tasting : Intense ruby red color. Nose : Aromatic, intense fruit, jam aromas, subtle toast aromas. Palate : Elegant and ripe tannins. Intense strawberry hints, slight vanilla aromas, smooth, structured body, long

Château La Cabanne 2011 10 hectares = 25 acres 94% Merlot – 6% Cabernet Franc Located on the high-plateau of Pomerol, adjacent to Pétrus, VCC, Le Pin, Trotanoy ... Tasting : Deep red ruby color. Nose : Fruity, intense, red currant aromas and subtle cedar hints. Palate : Complex, rich, full bodied, intense cherry hints, slight moka flavours, dense tannins, long length.

Château La Cabanne 2013 10 hectares = 25 acres 98% Merlot – 2% Cabernet Franc Located on the high-plateau of Pomerol, adjacent to Pétrus, VCC, Le Pin, Trotanoy ... Tasting : Deep purple colour, cherry-red highlights. Nose : Aromatic, fruity, intense cherry aromas, light mandarin, orange aromas, subtle toast aromas. Palate : Crunchy, juicy, subtle grenadine hints, intense blackberry aromas, slight tobacco hints, elegant and silky tannins, good intensity, long length.
