THE
HUNT Animals and Humans Mutual hunting relationship, it is a common sense that humans invade the animal world on a large scale. The development of human society makes animals in the difficult situation. My idea was constructed on the topic: reduce the impact (from humans and the environment) on animals. Collecting data on five senses of animals and studying how to arrage animals’ area in order to have the least inlfuence on animals.

“Overfishing resulting in those species either becoming depleted or very underpopularted in that given area. Some forms of overfishing, such as overfishing of sharks, has led to the upset of entire marine ecosystems.
One million seabirds and 100,000 marine mammals die each year from plastic pullution.
Some Zoos have chosen to stop showing their larger animals beacuse they are simply unable to provide an adequate enclosure for them The rhinoceros who were killed and snatched awat the horns were abandoned in the wildness. The preferences of rich people killing animals to take away some parts of the corpse.
Animals that are injured in the wild and are unable to survive on their own, but in the zoos they can live out the rest of their lives

The site for this project lies at the edge of Queens along the East River, almost directly across from the southern tip of Roosevelt Island. Waterfront real estate to the north and south of the site has been or will be redeveloped into commercial and residential buildings. The site is easily accessible by metro with the Court Square station within a 10-minute walk. Rail lines from all over New York come into the Hunterspoint Avenue and Long Island City train stations. Both are about a fifteen minute walk away from the site. A ferry line currently runs through the East River and connects Manhattan with Hunters Points just south of the proposed site, about a 15-minute walk away.

This project, I would like create a place where the aquarium could merge into the city, and design an aquarium different from before. By stairs or elevators, people can go down to the sea. The first place people arrived is the interior area where people can see the sea creatures through the aquarium tanks. This place brings people to the start of the unterwater journey. Continuing down into the sea, people will go through a world which surrounder by optical fiber. Those bring light in the dark water and create fantastic atmosphere.

SITE ANALYSIS The park is at a historic nexus of transportation, indstry and culture. Almost 20 hectares of open space have been designed or planned for public enjoyment in the Queens Quay stretch of Toronto’s harbour, within a system of a almost 30 Hectares along the entire waterfront. The majority of these parks and plazas are public gathering spaces - to inspire togetherness and to expose the public to view of the water and towering skyscraper backdrops.

The idea was inspired by Oasis, in geography, an oasis is a cultivated area in a desert or semi-desert environment. Oasis in the project is a greenland in the tall buildings. The design considered the view of looking down from high floors. The central structure is a water pool with immersive green around it. The holes in it brings light to the space under the structure. Those space, I turned it into a history museum. With wall painthing and the words, it tells the history of Toronto. It is a education place in midtown. Except from that, the park has its own open air theatre. Open grassland provides resident’s activitives area. The undulating terrain brings vitality to the site.

LAYERING DIAGRAM The structure meets the desire for a fun device and a history museum by imagining the structure as a series of layers. These can be expressed both horizontally and vertically. This approach creates a park that is infinitely dynamic, providing visitors with new paths and journeys to experience. The open space with wall painting, conceived as a dynamic system and a maze. Visitors can walk through the six circles to experience the history museum. Enjoying the journey beneath the water. The Trail, which needs people choose ramps or stairs to arrive. It is two meters above the ground. I think the Trail can bring views different from which on the ground.

This site is located in Mount Pleasant West, Toronto, ON, Canda. Church in the residence, as a irreplacable place, should be given special design. The project starts from the relation of the Church and central axis, in order to find the connection in terms of geometry. Apply the concept of trinity to the important nodes, bringing the religious meaning to the site. Also , the design considered the place for children, adding the entertainment space for them and resting place for residents. Landscape

This node located in the central of the site. The underground structure has a cross hanging in the middle. Entering by staris of only 0.6m wide, people can get close touch with the ground. Church is not only a place welcoming new lives, but also a place accepting death. The underground symbolizes darkness and underground is also a place where new life can grow, which has the same meaning of church. Therefore, adding the structure in the site can enrich people's experience. The structure can be a icon in the community.
