Upsilon Achievement Recipient Rafer Johnson - Upsilon Achievement Awarded to an undergraduate brother who most nearly exemplifies the outstanding qualities of Rafer Johnson in the areas of athletics, scholarship, community service, service to the school, and service to the fraternity. The award was first presented at the 63rd Anniversary Convention in Los Angeles by Rafer's chapter, California Upsilon.
Jeffrey Einhaus - VA Omicron Zeta (Virginia Polytechnic Institute) Over the course of his college career, Brother Jeff provided a unique set of skills to the table and quickly became a catalyst of influence within the Virginia Omicron Zeta chapter, the reason many brothers frequently credit him to be one of the most wellrounded members in the chapter. Brother Jeff participated in intramural football, soccer, water polo, and softball leagues. Among the many trophies brought home, he helped earn the water polo Virginia Tech Hokie Sportmanship Award, as well as earning 3rd place overall on campus. In addition to being a team player, Brother Jeff places high value on his own physical fitness and he proved his personal strength by placing 3rd in the 10th Annual Hokie Bench Press competition. When Brother Jeff joined Pi Lambda Phi, his leadership skills immediately became prevalent as he was elected the pledge class president during the new member process. His enthusiasm for Pi Lam encouraged him to attend multiple Conclaves as a younger brother. As a result, he decided to run and get elected as Scribe and Rush Chair shortly after attending. In addition, Brother Jeff has served in the role of Archon and a two year term on the Judicial Board. He takes great pride in seeing a nearly 400% growth in chapter size since his initiation, from 15 to 60 brothers by graduation. Virginia Tech had the pleasure of receiving Brother Jeffâ€&#x;s leadership on campus as he served two years as a facilitator for freshmen in the Leadership Tech Emerging Leaders Program. His students were challenged through a curriculum that expected community service hours and multicultural attendance. Adding to his impressive athletic checklist, Brother Jeff is competitive, if not even more competitive in the classroom. He has earned the last six consecutive semesters on the Deanâ€&#x;s list, graduated with a 3.62 GPA (Magna Cum Laude) and is currently enrolled to start Law School at the University of Richmond in fall 2011. On top of all of his academic and extra-curricular involvement, Brother Jeff managed to hold a part-time job in Blacksburg to support himself three out of the four years in college. On behalf of the International Executive Council and IHQ staff, congratulations to Brother Jeff on earning this prestigious award and upholding the values of a life worth imitating - Mr. Rafer Johnson.

Songs of Pi Lambda Phi Jolly Laddies (To the Tune of There’s a Tavern in the Town) We are Jolly Laddies, Jolly Laddies we, And firm united is our com-a-ra-de-rie, So we’ll all join in, to make the wel-kin ring, While to Pi Lambda Phi we sing. So let’s join in jolly chorus, While our Youth is still before us, Let us ev-er joy-ous be. Pi Lamb-da Phi inscribed in ev’ry loy-al heart, Fra-ter-nal friendship till in death we all do part. So we’ll all join in, to make the wel-kin ring, While to Pi Lambda Phi we sing!
Brother Mine Forever (To the chorus of “Keep the Home Fires Burning”) Brother mine forever, We are bound together, By a bond that stronger grows As years roll by. Mystic words unspoken, Holy vows unbroken Holds us faithful to the tie, Of Pi Lambda Phi. When the days are dreary, When the heart grows weary; Tho the dark clouds of despair, May hide the sky, I shall ne'er be friendless, For our love is endless; Even death can't break the tie, Of Pi Lambda Phi.
National Anthems Canada O Canada! Our home and native land! True patriot love in all thy sons command. With glowing hearts we see thee rise, The True North strong and free! From far and wide, O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. God keep our land glorious and free! O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
United States of America Oh, say can you see, By the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hailed At the twilight's last gleaming, Whose broad stripes and bright stars, Through the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched Were so gallantly streaming And the rockets' red glare, The bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night That our flag was still there. O, say, does that Star-Spangled Banner yet wave O'er the land of the free And the home of the brave
