Give the dog a tweet! When working on the Heart of Kent Hospice’s Bluebell walk for the fifth year running, Pillory Barn was brainstorming ideas to give the publicity a different twist when one particular idea came up in the shape of a furry one year old called Lola!

Picture: Kent Messenger Group

6

PR Manager Jodi Eeles has joined the walk many times, but was about to do it for the first time, with her one year old sprocker Lola. From experience, she knew that the walkers loved to bring their dogs along and decided to set Lola’s own Twitter page up and track her training for the 8.5 mile walk to communicate with other doggy lovers.

The result was that Lola received celebrity status in the local papers for being the first Twitterer for the Hospice of the canine kind, and she even had a cartoon designed for her from the Kent Messenger Group. She now demands 10 bonios per news story and is keeping her paws in shape for the next adventure that awaits her!
