He had three underclassmen with him. “He’s still doing stuff for the program because he still wants the program to be in great hands when he leaves,” Titans coach Hank Sawyer said about Davis, a four-star recruit who has committed to Ohio State. “When he’s gone, he wants to say, ‘I’ve done all I can for the program.’ ” In four seasons at Lake Taylor, Davis helped guide the Titans to a 54-4 record, including two state titles and a state runnerup finish. He capped his career with a stellar season, which earned him 2015 Abe Goldblatt AllTidewater Player of the Year. Davis is the third Titans player in four seasons to win the honor. Davis finished his senior season with seven interceptions, five of which he returned for touchdowns. Davis also was the 2015 Gatorade Virginia Football Player of the Year.
