TEA STORY & DINNERWARE COLLECTION
Founder, creator and originator of Yvonne Ellen, established in 2013, a contemporary designer with a strong passion for unique and quirky things. The brand is a reflection of Yvonne’s love of beautiful vintage bone china, unexpected illustration and colour, and aims to deliver enchanting, out of the ordinary designs that evoke a sense of nostalgia. This established Yvonne Ellen as highly covetable, gathering press acclaim in the UK and internationally. Collaborating with retailers including Liberty, Anthropologie and John Lewis the brand continues to grow momentum. It all started with a hand illustrated vintage tea set, made as a gift for a friend’s wedding. “I wanted to give a gift that was both beautiful and unique which i had struggled to find on the high street. Following some fantastic feedback and admiration of the piece, i decided to take the leap into selling my designs into a wider audience. Yvonne trained as a printed textile designer in Nottingham Trent University, and her journey so far has found her working as a print designer selling designs to the likes of Ted Baker, Jeff Banks, Top Shop and Superdry. The following tea story and dinnerware collection is made from finest bone china using high grade decal design and finished with real gold leaf. Each shape is custom made taking inspiration from the past when bone china was used for special occasions and showing off an individual style. Many pieces come in specially designed hat box style packaging making them an ideal gift for someone special.
