Traditional courtyard - Void center - Invisible section - Relationship of inside & outside The first kindergarten in Taiwan is at the old city_ Tainan, near by the Confucian Temple, which is the center of the school. The ancient wants our next generation to learn from their general life, so the students lives together at school, with teachers and spiritual being. The courtyard filled with life, education, and gather everything to lean.

baby seed + earth cradle
Earth just like a cradle bury a seed baby, in those models, I attempted to let the public passage come into the school (green line), and the kids area will close to the ground floor. Courtyard is a gray area to contain, it define the learning boundary , and also protect the kids from danger.
