Simpleis beautiful. The artist achieved a visual and plastic expression,using a very simple concept: a female or a male black silhouettewalking, on flat and colored background. The visual effect on the vieweris amazing, even brutal, because of its simplicity. Moving Figures (2018),the 16th theme of his carrier, is about an impression of a moment ofsomeone walking to somewhere. We don’t know much about these people, butwe can guess a lot. Some wander aimlessly, with no direction home,others have a purpose and walk more assertively. Representing, here,only black silhouettes, Pintomeira doesn't tell us much about emotionsor feelings, since, in this particular case, there is no visible facial expression. However, we can guess a lot if we observe the gesture, theposture, the way they walk or what they carry.Onthe technical matter, the artist worked with acrylic on canvas, withflat brush strokes and pastel tonalities, vibrant colors or grays, onthe background.
