Project done under tutorship of A. Carbonell. Contrary to the common usage of water as an element of infrastructure, I propose to include it into what Leon Krier calls “res publica - the common thing, meaning the public realm of institutions, welfare and leisure. All around the world investors are very efficient with using water for their economical needs, by creating floating housing, barges with bars and restaurant. I believe that city should be also an active player in using the waterscape for the needs of its inhabitants. It is a case study of incorporating the water into the urban fabric in a meanful way. Project consists of a set of floating strucures serving public functions: kindergarten, market hall, boat taxi terminal and a swimming pool.

House designed under the tutorship of M, Miłobędzki and M. Sadowski. This house is designed for typical family of 2+2. It is a modern reinterpretation of Adolf Loos raumplan. All spaces are organized in a spiral aroud the main core, having different size, height and proportions. In addition to that the spiral organization in a natural way defines the privacy of rooms. Starting from low dark hallway one gets into two storey high living room. By passing three steps person gets into the semiopen dining and kitchens. Next step of privacy is clearly defined by staircase: children rooms and library are accesible only for invited. After another stairs lies the master bedroom. Only the very chosen guests can go to the rooftop terrace, which has a magnificent view on the surroundings.

Designed under the tutorship of Bart Van Gassen. This design is a try to redefine the typical belgian suburb made of endless rowhouses, with almost none public space other than narrow streets. But how to combine higher density, good insolation, public spaces and a natural belgian need for an own house? I decided to create a comb of rowhouses, Stacked twice on each other. This gave the opportunity to create a variety of different housetypes, for different family models. Each single house has a sunny view and a private garden. On the ground floor it is a continuation of the living room, on the second level of houses it lies on the rooftop, giving each house even parameters.

THE INDUSTRIAL VILLAGE
PIOTR LANGE
Designed under the tutorship of Dieter de Vos. The urge of the return of industry in the city grows everyday. At the same time the profile of production changed since it moved to East Asia. It became more diverse, the quantities became smaller. The workshops have to find their places within the cities. Proposed solution can easily accomodate the modern workshops and adjust to their growing (or shrinking) needs by easy transformation in- and from housing. The dense urban layout creates a series of urban piazzas, being a continuation of the urbanity inside the block, maintaining a small scale and a diverse character, depending on the function of surrounding premises.

Affordable housing location Żyrardów, Poland date summer 2014 status bachelor project
22
Housing designed under the tutorship of M. Staniszkis. 22 appartements and 2 thousands m2 of office spaces. Designed as a part of revitalization program in post-industrial city of Żyrardów. It is a opportunity of a better start for people from small cities. Small sized (and therefore cheap) appartements with a good connection to Warsaw are the chance to make people stay in the city and leave their taxes there. Additionally office spaces can bring in offices fleeing from high rents in bigger cities. Small flats can be a start for a young family. They are specially designed to be easily re-arranged to create a new room for new familly member. But in this small room organizing a family meeting will be a problem. For this reasons all inhabitants share a common room in the garden

Exposition Pavillion location Brussels, Belgium date summer 2016 status academic project collaboration M. Molnar
26
Designed under the tutorship of Dieter de Vos and Erik Geerts. The task of the project was to design and detail a small scale pavillion in the Brussels Jubelpark. The target was to achieve full feasibility in all terms: construction, detailing, acoustic and light qualities. Our pavillion consists of two parts: glazed entrance zone, which also contains all vertical communication, and the main concrete exhibition space with double height atrium. All building is covered with concrete waffle ceiling with skylights punched through. To acheive better acoustic performance the formwork anchoring holes are used as sound traps. The building as a whole is based on a 90cm grid to ensure even divisions on the concrete inside and outside.

Columbarium location Warsaw, Poland date spring 2015 status honorable mention collaboration M. Sidorowicz, I. Borkowicz
30
The columbarium conmemorates the victims of post-war stalinist regime in Poland. We had to solve a complicated task of creating monument both for private, intimate visits and big official events. The space is divided into two parts: big flat square with an obelisk on one end and the mausoleum on the other. It is the public space in the broad meaning of the words. On the other hand the concentric enclosed columbarium cuts off from the surroundings to leave visitors just by himself with the dead. The ritual of passage from the world is emphasized by the change of materials of the floor and the sound it makes (from stone to gravel) and by the 4m tall and deep, almost overscaled wooden portal.

Foldable table location Re-sort Bar, Warsaw, Poland date summer 2014 status contest winner
Concept designed for Grolsch Bottle Art 2014 competition. After being qualified to final prototype was built, resulting in winning the contest. Table was designed to be easily foldable and storable. For this reason it does not have any mechanical connections and rigidness is provided by connecting perpendicular elements: one table plate with engraved “Grolsch logo and two leg elements made of 1,5 cm thick plywood. After dissasebling table is only 60 x 60 x 4,5 cm and therefore can be easily hidden for example behind a closet.
