PFE PREPARATION - 2018 CAEN PRESQU’ÎLE Rehabilitation of a port industrial wasteland P.ROUSSEL / R. LACAU / C. BLANCHET Caen is actually the forgotten breath of the see after a long period of prosperity, the industrial decline sign definitively marks the cessation of many economic activities. The “Nouveau Bassin“, at the crossroads, is the major basin inside the activity of the port until the 1990s. Actually, he is involved in a major urban development project orchestred by MVRDV agency. This place remains potentially active for many port activities. Fine analysis of historical, geographical, economic and urban projected data has allowed the constitution of an architectural project articuled around a unifying program : The House of the Basin. This equipment brings together three poles which are the nautism, the innovation and the valorization. This pooling can attract different audiences and reconcile the many expectations between tourism, industries and future inhabitants. The nautical identity reaffirmed, Caen is in the process of regaining the breath away from the open sea.

PROJECT M1S8 - June 2017 PARIS - Cité universitaire The metropolitan equipment A. VIGER KOHLER / G. VAUGHAN
Trimonal project with M. DUMOND & E. MAUMY
The patio of the cinema is located in the University City of Paris, on the border with the Paris périphérique, place of many challenges. The project of equipment is inserted from the beginning in the strong axis connecting the sports park to the tram T3. A mineral esplanade created as entrance forecourt gives a new centrality. The patio of the cinema is aa hybrid program which mixes student housing, projection rooms, media library or a panoramic restaurant. Desired as an educational and entertaining place, the patio is the place of discovery of the cinematographic machine, from production to projection and realization. Originally, the patio of the cinema is born from a reinterpretation of the cloister taking the principles of an introverted form and a ciruculation. Real Master project, the patio of the cinema is a work in the details both constructive with facade details but also with a typographic work.

EUROPEAN WORKSHOP 2017 PARIS / IVRY SUR SEINE “Under the périphérique, the rails“ R. MANAHL, architecte invité autrichien “Under the périphérique, the rails“ is the fourth european workshop organised by ENSA Paris Val de Seine. Six team are then represented by a invited European architect to work on a common subject. During seven days, we have imagined in small groups a transformation of the rails located between Paris and Ivry sur Seine. The approach of Richard Manhal, Austrian architect allowed a work on the urban scale. This workshop was a first introduction to urban planning with a reflection on the positioning of roads, built-up areas, public spaces and green parks. The group’s proposal is based on the New York High Line, with the creation of a suspended greenway linking Paris to Ivry sur Seine while safeguarding the railroad.

CREATE PROJECT M1S7 - October 2016 Kansas University, Lawrence, US Digital Fabrication P. SANGUETTI, P. GRIFFIN During my semester of study at the University of Kansas in the United States, I had the opportunity to attend digital fabrication classes. These courses allow to approach the architectural design through digital, through two software : Rhino and Grasshopper. Unknown until know, I learned in these few months the basics of these software. I designed three projects involving different manufacturing tools: CNC, Laser Cut, 3D printer. Having the chance to work with these digital tools allowed me to acquire new skills that I wanted to put forward in this portfolio through a project : the parametric tower. The parametric tower is the last project of the semester addressing Grasshopper’s advanced tutorials. The final rendering is the model realized by the 3D printer.

PROJECT L3S6 - June 2016 Paris, 11 e , Boulevard Ménilmontant The collective facing Père Lachaise J. MASS, N. REIGNER KAGAN Last project of the cycle of license, this semester is a real synthesis of the notions addressed throughout the cycle. Located in the heart of the dense fabric of the 11th arrondissement of Paris, the exercise allows work on a double scale: from the general to the particular, from the urban scale to the scale of constructive detail. The site, sports enclave facing the Père Lachaise cemetery, has real qualities and opportunities with different topographies and dense adjoinings. Opening the enclave with urban promenades was the real challenge of the project with the creation of an open interiority. The program combines 76 housing with a nursery, a gymnasium and outdoor sports fields. The organization and assembly of these programs operate around an indoor garden, attractive heart of the area. This work has particularly focused on the work of typologies of living and on materiality with here a work around the brick and steel.

Archsharing Competition 2017 Tokyo, Japan Living and working in Tokyo,“CHO House“ HONORABLE MENTION Located in the heart of Tokyo’s creative district, close to Omotesando Avenue, the Shibuya district is currently being recomposed. This project is designed around two concepts that are modularity and flexibility. These are the particularities to the “Commeresidence“. The habitat will evolve according to the uses. All life scenarios are then possible because spaces are designed not as rooms but as free trays. These spaces are dimensioned by the ancestral module of japanese tatami. A liberating structure reinforces this versatility thanks to the presence of two concrete support lateral walls allowing to leave a single bearing point in the internal volume. Then, Concrete by its durability offers great durability and a favorable thermal inertia. The Chô House is this habitat of tomorrow conscious of the past, which respects the Japanese traditions.

“Nothing develops intelligence like travel “ E. ZOLA Passionate about travel , I love to go on every occassion to meet new cities, new countries and new architectures. Travels forge culture and enrich knowledge, being. This destinations, this meetings become references, inspirations that allow the architect to be inventive et creative. My insatiable curiosity and my desire for adventure push me to go futher and futher. During my studies, I traveled to many European cities. I was also lucky to leave six months in an american university for a semester. So, I was able to discover many states and american cities. This immersion transformed my look of architecture. After the North American continent, what will be my next trip ? I don’t know yet. However, one thing is sure, I will keep continue to explore the world and his wealth pour to enrich my architectural background.
