DESIGN APPROACH For the final design, this model solve the problem of planning and stair space. It is found the solution of void, shading device, roof, and visual connection, which can give good ventilation but remain private as the concept. This model, stair is like the main elements that lead to each room. i would like to think about perception that user would receive while they are climbing up the stair more. Example, what will they see when they looking down because stair is run circle continuously, so pelple would look down, and what the perception surroundung. How can i make space to be interesting between the journy that users climbing up.

LEARNING CENTER STUDIO 2010

LEARNING CENTER

LOCATION TO CONCEPT

The students are asked to design the KMUTT Knowledge Center for the public by using the vacant area across KMUTT Bangmod campus. The KMUTT Knowledge Center aims at encouraging KMUTT staff, students and neighbors spend their free time to find and earn knowledge as to be a live long learning center for the local community. Moreover, the center should be able to represent the local area identity and create a gateway for KMUTT. The program and site are the main study of this project. Furthermore, the structural design of the design will be explored.

row houses surrounding site lacation, which give a bad visual pollution.Solv e this problem by making people looking inside more than outside, make the new landscape, something attractive that user would look by everywhere in the building.

SITE The site of the project is located across the KMUTT Bangmod campus. SPACE PROGRAM 1. Entrance hall 2. KMUTT Service Center 3. Indoor multipurpose area 4. 1 meeting room (20 persons) 5. 3 small 24-hours meeting rooms (10 persons/room) 6. Lobby and lounge (Library Klicnic) 7. 1 Bookshop 8. Coffee shop 9. At least 2 toilets 10. 2 Janitor rooms 11. Supporting facilities corner 12. Plaza for recreation, festival and cultural activities. 13. Loading area 14. Drop off 15. Car parking 16. Total area 837 sq.m.

Make people looking in because of bad visual pollution

(Drop-off, car parking, and 30% circulation are not included)

DESIGN APPROACH

MASS OF BUILDING DIVIDE INTO FOUR PARTS. THE FIRST PART IS THE HIGHEST AND THE FOURTH PART IS THE LOWEST.HEIGHT OF BUILDING GOING UP STEP BY STEP FROM NO. 4 TO NO.1 BY LINEAR CIRCULATION AND WHEN YOU GET TO THE END, YOU CAN GO BACK TO THE BEGINNINGAGAIN. TO SOLVE VISUAL POLLUTION, ON ROOF TOP IS THE GARDEN, WHICH USER CAN SEE IN THE OPPOSITE MASS AS SHOWN BY ARROW. NO.1 AND NO.2 ARE FACE THE HOT SIDE BUT IT IS THE HIGHER MASS. SO IT CAN GIVE SHADE TO THE REST OF THE BUILDING.

APPLY THE SITE CONTEXT

SHAPE OF BUILDING MAKE WIND CAN PASS THROUGH EASILY, GOOD VENTILATION. THE WIDER SIDE IS ALSO THE ENTRANCE OF THIS BUILDING. SO IT ANSWER APPROACH OF PEOPLE WHO COMING FROM THAT DIRECTION.

DESIGN APPROACH Design solution of this project comes from way that use to solve problem of site, such as location that has visual pollution surrounding, traffic jam in Prachautid 45. Which mass of the building rise up step to step, to make the building higher than row-houses surrounding. The roof top garden that make the new visual for people inside by looking in opposite side of building, also voids and facade which is design to have more opening inside more than outside makes user keep lookinginside more than outside. The entrance of this building also answer approach of user that comefrom the South side more, where KMUTT’s locate, which underneath space of building is thehighest makes it looks welcome to people.

MASTER PLAN

Start concept is about to protect people from visual polution surrounding, so I provide green space for every units to seperate people inside from view outside. Also play with different in condominium and house, which is kind of mass customize thing that people want to give identity to what they own. So facade of each unit will be in different type, color and material, which is random place on facade. There are 2 typical floors, which is mirror to each other and interloging to each other. Inside echa unit there are 2 levels, which is can give better 2 side view and also express the feeling of house same as the house look ceiling in the front part of each unit.

Site analysis Most of people that that come to this site, they come from Soi.Ekamai 14. So approach of people are come from that way. So, i decide to arrange building to answer approach of people. But arrangement in this way, the wider elevation would face on South-West. According to my consept, in every floore will have tree or green in front of every units, which can give shade as well to the building.

THEARTRE STUDIO 2011

THEARTER Aspiring to be the city of culture –as initiated by the bma (bangkok metropolitan administration),our city has been a host to various cultural events such as la fête (french cultural festival),bangkok design festival, bangkok international film festival, international festival of dance and music, goethe institute science film festival, etc. For the second project of this semester, you are asked to design a performing art center (with supporting programs indicated in the program requirements below). The site is situated on the edge of chao phraya river on the thonburi side below the rama viii bridge. You should imagine the performing art centre as one of the growing venues serving bangkokians as well as tourists, the prevalent mode of transportation to the site from ratanakosin island is a ferry from tha prahahtit pier near khao san road in Banglamphu area. The design proposal must accommodate a variety of activities such as performance both by local and international artists (ballet / experimental dance / a mini concert), screening of independent and foreign films and dance academy for interested students. On the evenings without event or performance, the restaurant must be able to attract people by capitalizing on the view from the river edge. The existing king rama viii statue and portion of the park are toremain.

BREAKOUT BUILDING IN TO LANDSCAPE

Steping and ramp play with site contex. This also give value to architecture that it can be more than just theatre, but it could be a place for chilling out for public as well. Also user that come to the existing site, mostly they come to exercise in the evening at the park, which are both people in community and outsiders.

CAR PARK

Approach Entrance answer approach of people, both from car and walking people. Also try to smooth architecture with contex and view point to bring in people to site as much as posible.

Not only landscape that design for public use, but also make the whole architecture become public space. Eventhogh there is no plays or exhibition inside but people from community still can use it as park as well. BRING LANDSCAPE INTO BUILDING

DESIGN APPROACH Break one big lounge mass into two small masses to open up space for walking people entrance and bring in landscape to be inbetween the building. Smoothing the restaurant mass to be part of building. Ramp and walkway were put in to answer the site potential and adding a live atmosphere to roof garden when looking down to see activities down there. Half of car park wereput back to the front to cut off structure problem but still give sense of park, not concrete. Building were raised up to make the landscape seem to be lay down to riverside. Trees were put inboth softscape and hardscape to give apprerance of building breaking into lanscape. All walkway act like a ramp that smoothing down to landscape outside of the site, which give sense of welcomeing to inside.

five stars hotel STUDIO 2012

FIVE STARS HOTEL THIS PROJECT IS THE PRACTICLE PROJECT THAT AIM ON LEARNING ORGANIZATION FOR HIGH-RISE BUILDING, ESPECIALLY FOR HI-END BRAND HOTEL, WHERE THE APPERANCE FOR GUESTS ARE FIRST CONCERN AS A HOTEL DESIGN WHILE BACK OF THE HOUSE IS THE PLACE WHERE SERVICE AND ORGANIZATION MAKE THINGS POSSIBLE AND WORK OUT BEST. SO THIS PROJECT WOULD BE CONCENTRATE ON ORGANIZATION AND FUNCTIONALS FOR THE HIGH-RISE BUILDING AS A FIVE STARS HOTEL. THIS PROJECT LOCATES IN CENTRAL BANGKOK AREA, CHIDLOM, WHICH IS CLOSE TO CENTRAL CHIDLOM, BUSINESS AREA, AND EMBRASSY AREA. SO THIS FIVE STARS HOTEL IS PRACTICAL FOR BUSINESS TYPE OF HOTEL, WHERE PRIVACY IS THE HIGH CONCERN FOR GUESTS AS WELL.

BEGINNIG OF FUNCTIONAL ORGANIZATION PROCESS ON SITE

STUDY OF FUNCTIONS RELATIONSHIP FOR HOTEL BETWEEN FRONT HOUSE ANDBACK OF THE HOUSE

ELEVATION DESIGN APPROACH HOTEL DESIGN FOR HIGH-RISE BUILDING NORMALLY DIVIDE INTO 2 PARTS, WHICH ARE PODIUM PART AND TOWER PART. CONCEPT OF THIS BUILDING IS THE COMBINATION BETWEEN CITY AND NAUTRE, WHICH BRING UP GREEN SPACE AREA CLIMB UP OVER FROM PODIUM PART TO TOWER. THIS MAKE PODIUM DESIGN HAVE SMALLER AREA AS HIGH AS IT CLIMB UP TO THE TOWER PART, WHICH GIVE DYNAMIC TO ROOF TOP GARDEN INTO SEVERAL LAYERS. TOWER PART DESIGN, FLOOR PLANS SPLIT INTO 6 TYPES, WHICH MEAN EACH FLOOR HAVE SHIFTING OF GREEN AREA. AS THEY ARE COMBINE INTO LAYERS, IT MAKES GREEN AREA CLIMBI UP TWISTING AROUND THE TOWER PART.

urbanite lifestylethirdplace thesis project 2013-2014

thesis question ALTERNATIVE COMMON AREA THAT SUITABLE FOR CITY LIFESTYLE, ESPECIALLY THE GENERATION ME, WHICH CAN STIMULATE INTERACTION BETWEEN HUMAN AND HUMAN, AND ALSO BETWEEN HUMAN AND ENVIRONMENT.

Theses day people have only several types of public space that they can hang out in their daily life. Most of theses places are commercial places; malls, coffee shops, community malls, restaurants, etc. While the common public space like park, public library; is not the choice that Bangkokians choose to go in the first place. So this project is try to find out the alternative type of place that could fit in with city lifestyle of Bangkokians, to proof that not only the commercial area that could get along with urbanite life but there should be the some of real public space that people could go for hang out, relax, work, play, spend their time during the day or after work as it is another community. The concept of community space has been merge in called “Third Place, which refer to the social surroundings separate from the two usual social environments of home and the workplace. Third places, then, are "anchors" of community life and facilitate and foster broader, more creative interaction. All societies already have informal meeting places; what is new in modern times is the intentionality of seeking them out as vital to current societal needs.

Zoning and organization in the building should reflect site potential to get the best building organization. Site is located between 3 main approaches that have important effect to site, which are Esplanade that have high density of people around that area, crossover that locates in front of site and can connect to residential area and offices in the opposite of the site, and the last one is Thai cultural center that site connect to the parking rods and Cultural road. SITE LOCATION AND SURROUNDINGS

BUILDINGS LAYOUT BASE ON SITE AND DESIGN APPROACH

According to the reserch of program analysis, bankokians lifestyyle trend to have more of freelancers that do not work in the proper office. they trend to work in coffee shop or in public area, so these collage are some of concept ideas that provide service offices for freelances with shared working space areas or common working place for members as well.

Journey through the house House = suffocation, confinement - expectations - angel in the house Space reflects one's identity How Space feels when we're moving to occupy space What happens to space when we occupy it, does it tremble more when our shadow occupy it? Suffocation in the eye of the storm How space shifts depending on our emotions.
