Richard Poole is now the Australian distributor for Spark Models and they are producing low runs of the 2011 Bathurst 12 Hour winning Audi R8 LMS and the second placegetter which was driven by Australian’s Craig Lowndes, Warren Luff and Mark Eddy. These models will be available in both 1:43 and 1:18 scales.

The biggest news from Classic Carlectables is their new Open Wheeler Collection. Starting with the famous Lola T332, this car was very successful all over the world. The first model for release is the Alan Jones version from the 1977 Australian Grand Prix. A race he won on the road but was given a minute penalty for jumping the start. This particular car, chassis HU61 had a short racing life. It had 2 races before it was effectively written off by Jones in practice for the Surfers Paradise round a week after Oran Park. Other versions as seen below will be released during 2012 and 2013. Frank Matich’s cars will also be produced including the 1971 and 1976 Australian Grand Prix winning versions.
