APRIL In 1969 Easter 5 Saturday saw a record league victory for Town when they trounced Micklefield Welfare 13-0 at Wetherby Road in Yorkshire League Division Two with goals from Peter Foxton Peter Foxton (6), John Troughton (3), Nigel Knapton (3) and Clive Nottingham. The two sides actually finished in the bottom two places that season with Town just above Micklefield. Foxton who regularly watches Town today was only playing that day due to an injury. In 2004 Town 6 APRIL played Radcliffe Borough at home in a Northern Premier League Premier Division clash and won 3-0 thanks to goals from player/coach and former Blackburn Rovers Premier League winner, Mark Atkins and fan’s favourite James Turley (2) in front of 246 fans. Turley top scored with 19 goals that season. 7 In 2018 Town made the short trip to Bootham Crescent to play local rivals York City in the National League

North for a first ever league meeting between the two clubs. In front of an attendance of 3,564 (515 from Harrogate),

Town came away with the North Yorkshire bragging rights after a fantastic 2-0 win with goals from Jake Wright and Mark Beck.

APRIL In 2017 Town entertained Salford City in 8 the Conference North and the sides drew 3-3 in a highly entertaining game with all three Harrogate goals coming in the last 10 minutes courtesy of a unique hattrick of penalties from captain Simon Ainge!

APRIL In 1960 Town 9 travelled to Wombwell & Darfield in Yorkshire League Division Two and left with the points after a 3-0 win thanks to an Arthur Everitt hattrick. Arthur Everitt This was his fourth hattrick of the campaign and he finished the season with 32 goals from 32 games as Town finished the season fifth just missing out on one of the top four promotion places.

APRIL In 1999 Town returned from 10 Farsley Celtic in the Northern Premier League Division One with a 2-1 win thanks to a brace from Glen Robson who finished the season top scorer with 23 goals from 33 games.

In 1931 old 11 APRIL Harrogate AFC were playing a Yorkshire League fixture at Wetherby Road against Brodsworth Main and won 7-4 with Albert Pope goals from Albert Pope (4), C. Megson, K. Barber and Charlie Carpenter. Pope finished top scorer with 27 goals from 28 games. It was the club’s last season of Yorkshire League football before joining the Northern League. Following the 1931-32 season in the Northern League, the club disbanded until 1935, re-forming under the name Harrogate Hotspurs.
