EMERGENT CREATIONS Hello Pixelheads, Issue four is another celebration of the fantastical worlds and renderings of Pixelcat - particularly the process of creating something out of nothing. This theme was inspired by Kanard's description in her "Lyrical Postcard Series" of "Pixelmind as Prometheus, bringing fire to ignite our imagination...and shape the future of art for humanity." I first mentioned my reaction to the creative claws of Pixelcat in the Neo Tokyo community, but I think it’s time to take that message abroad. For those not in the know, I’m a particle physicist working at the forefront of scientific research.

It’s my job to get my hands on cutting-edge tech to push our understanding of how imaginative the Universe is. On the side, though, I love to write. Fiction has always been a passion, so when Adam opened the gates to this technology, I just had to know. Could the AI fulfill a childhood wish? Could it take my words and pluck an image from my brain? I went back to the old WingWord Library, injected some NT flair, and threw the following to gpu3:

In the science wing of the Highland Core, citizens walk below a galaxy of morning stars. Panes of glass rise to incredible heights, and data streams streak like lightning over the surfaces.

When I saw what the AI produced, I stared in silence for several seconds—at least that’s what I thought until I realized a childish squeal was being ejected from my slackjawed mouth. This is easily one of the most important technological developments that I have ever seen.

I really believe it will change how we create, and I think there are options for this technology we haven’t even thought up yet. For example, I showed this to my uncle, an architect with decades of experience under his belt. We both wanted to know how Pixelcat would tackle a request from him, so I typed up my command. Just like me, my uncle stared at my screen with his mouth wide open.

A series of excited notes burst from his lungs before the giddiness took over. I peered up at him as his gaze wandered from the screen, and all he wanted to know was when he could get this thing in his office. I feel incredibly lucky to participate in this community. I feel like we’re incredibly early, and I think Pixelmind is positioned to utterly change the world.

Pixelmind as Prometheus, bringing fire to ignite our imagination… …and shape the future of art for humanity. Art history is always evolving, as art intends to create something original never seen before, with every generation come art revolutions or movements, artist tend to form communities, and despite having their own individual message, they have time and time again, inspired each other and follow trends amongst themselves that mark their time in history as a group.

Dashing sunrise of a golden city from a dapper era in an alternate universe, perhaps in a planet with similar more peaceful lifeforms.

I believe Pixelmind is becoming one of these movements, unlike artist before, they have in communion with AI technology, invited not only artists but the entire humanity to participate.

It is an awakening, to explore the creator that we born to be in a fool-proof fashion. Artistic skills might be helpful, but not necessary. The only requirement is the ability to verbalize what we wish to see. Almost as if we were commissioning art.

The dashboard in Pixelmind offers collections as templates to be infused by each user with their own message or thoughts, even the least inspired thoughts can create dashing images. It really is magic right in front of our eyes.

This is the beginning of a snowball, of perhaps the most rapid avalanche of art ever to flood the earth, empowering everyone who gets access to these amazing tools.

What can I say, simply beautiful, futuristic yet evocative of our grandparents youth, a peaceful dawn of a place that exists in someone’s dreams.

My favorite collection as of late is their Lyrical postcard. It has been producing poetic evocative, nostalgic images with a flair from the past, yet as if they were from a parallel universe, a bit surreal, and magical, and dream like.

Today my life changed...it is the 9th of January, 2022. At 4:51 p.m. in the #Holiday-Fan-Jam this popped up and I started to have a mini panic attack: Bot Ross Blue: Love your enthusiasm for the experiment of it all! Not sure if you have been whitelisted yet from Twitter, but I've done it here regardless! I'm a 33 year old musician/aspiring artist who also suffers from a few mental health issues (depression and anxiety being the two most troublesome to me). I used to lay in bed 18-24 hours before I was introduced to the Pixelmind discord server by a friend named Femdemic_Creations. She excitedly messaged me one day and explained how she was on the computer all day using .diffusion with her work. I had no idea what she was talking about, but Femdemic_Creations sent me some of her art and I was astounded by what the AI was doing. She invited me into the server and to the #Holiday-FamJam channel to begin creating. From then, I was hooked - even before even using it, just seeing what others were making was awe-inspiring. Then I slowly started using the Discord to experiment with everything I could imagine. Pixelzine |10

Most times what you create blows what you originally imagined out of the water. Experimenting with the AI has been amazing, The possibilities are only limited to what your brain can fathom, or cannot fathom for that matter. Honestly though, my favorite thing about Pixelmind is the community. The admins are so kind and helpful; they went above and beyond to help me. I want to take a second to thank Bot Ross Blue and Adam B. Levine. Mark my words, With the slow expansion they are planning, Pixelmind will take over art, film CGI, and video game concept art, even assets in the game themselves maybe. The program is the future, and now I'm proud to say I am a lifetime member.
