Common placing the brakes onto seat-stays requires reinforcement, which adds weight. We place the brakes onto the chain-stays. The result is smoother and faster ride enabled by flattened seat-stays and saved weight.

Smart Link

Massive bottom bracket and chain-stays with down tube are designed for efficient transfer of energy from pedalling as well as precise and intuitive bike handling.

Sharkspine Tubing

Superlight carbon fibre fork provides great comfort by significant reduction of bumps from the road. The profile of its legs is shaped into a “drop” which minimizes the aerodynamic resistance of the bike at the same time.

142x12 thru axle is 35% stiffer than the classic open dropout. The result is super effective transfer of energy from pedals onto movement forward and precise steering.

The power from the yoke is transferred onto the shock through the Smart Link - the movement of the yoke and shock is more fluent and prevents undesired “locking” of shock in the last third of the travel.

The specific shape of the top tube of Rock Machine hardtails increases torsional stiffness while maintaining a high ability of vibration absorption.

EXPAND YOUR LIMITS Narrow paths, rocky stretches, steep ascents and descents this is where Rock Machine bikes feel at home. The new Floating Pivot System combines the best desired frame properties: 1. T he rear-stays are connected to the main frame via two links that keep variable/floating position of the virtual center of rotation of the BB. The position keeps changing when the suspension is active, so that it is constantly in the optimum position. This makes the Floating Pivot Suspension sensitive to any changes in terrain, whilst overcoming ‘bobbing’, the unwanted shock travel when pedalling hard. Superstiff rear stays Floating pivot system enables the rear stays to form one single compact unit, delivering extremely high stiffness. This gives the bike impressive lateral stiffness and precise confident steering. TAD 142x12 (Thru Axle Dropout) 142x12 thru axle is 35% stiffer than the classic open dropout. The result is super effective transfer of energy from pedals onto movement forward and precise steering.

Shock function is more effective and allows you to make the most of suspension exactly when you need it. Low leverage ratio Our kinematics uses an extended piston rod, which decreases the ratio between the rear wheel travel and the length of the piston rod. This enables you to ride with lower shock pressure, increasing the sensitivity of the rear suspension. Now your bike absorbs even small terrain bumps nicely. You can fully rely on your Rock Machine bike even when riding hard on downhills. Floating position of the main pivot The floating position of the main pivot guarantees that the suspension is totally disconnected from the effects of pedalling and braking forces. Our FPS system with virtual pivot makes riding steady and effective – high anti-squat parameter prevents the bike from “swinging” when pedalling hard and guarantees minimum pedal kickback. The result: fast acceleration and controlled swift riding even when going through rugged terrain.

MEET THE SHARKSPINE Hydroforming technology is unique in its ability to distribute the pressure applied to each frame tube irregularly. This enables our designers to shape every single tube of the frame to the exact required dimensions. Frames produced using hydroforming are not only great looking, but deliver amazing performance too. Advanced technologies in the production process guarantee Rock Machine frames‘ lightness, stiffness and durability. Our duralumin series delivers all these qualities at a great price. A perfect balance of performance and value for money. All our MTB hardtails feature a special design formed by the top tube and seat-stays – the two elements connected into one single uniquely Shark spine shaped unit.

As well as having unique visual impact, this feature also vastly influences the ride qualities of both carbon and aluminium frames. The tubes’ shape increases the torsional stiffness of the bike, so that it accelerates amazingly and is also easy to handle. At the same time, the bending allows for higher flexion in the horizontal direction, which enhances the frame’s ability to absorb high-frequency vibrations, greatly improving ride comfort. Sounds simple? Well, the simplest solutions are quite often the most effective.

COMFORT & BEAUTY At Rock Machine we build the bikes so that they can exactly meet all of the specific requirements of every distinct user group. A good example of this is our ladies MTB series. Women have different body proportions and ergonomic demands, so their bikes need to be different compared to the typical models for men. This can‘t be just a change to the colour of the frame paint or stickers. We know just what is needed, so we pay close attention to the development of our MTB lady series. Safety, comfort, easy handling and, last but not the least, suitable geometry are the main criteria around which we build our women‘s collection.

1. Low Step Tubing Women have different proportions and needs compared to men. Top tube is lowered to minimize the stand over height, which makes riding much safer. Any time you need to jump off your bike (even when totally unexpected) you need not to worry about hitting the top tube. 2. Fast Tires Specially designed tires with low rolling resistance help to save energy and let you ride in comfort for longer. 3. Comfy saddle Special saddles are designed with respect to the specific requirements of women’s anatomy. 4. Ergonomic handlebars Ergonomic raised handlebars with optimized grips and reduced brake levers reach (to fit smaller palms) make riding more comfortable. 5. Low step-in Lady version of the frame allows easy and safe step-in without compromising the geometry and sporty feel of the bike. High comfort suspension fork, saddles and comfortable foam grips help to absorb vibration and provide greater ride comfort. All our models for younger riders have been carefully developed with the focus on durability and high-quality. We focused on light weight and packing in loads of safety features ; both are absolutely critical for the Teens & Kids category of bikes. For every stooge, pixie and babe in Toyland!

Low weight We keep the weight of the complete bike low to make riding easier and safer for children. Sensitive fork Suspension fork with extra soft springs provides effective suspension, even under the light weight loads of younger riders. Large height range The bent top tube allows for easy and safe step-in. It significantly enlarges the manoeuvring space and expands the height range of the biker. Safe and easy shifting Shimano Revo Shift is specifically designed to fit smaller hands of the children. RIDERS WE SUPPORT At Rock Machine we are proud to support young riders who dare to take riding hard & wild, which is exactly what our bikes love. For the 2013 we started cooperation with BM riders - a Slovakian team of three elite riders Luboš Staňo, Sára Štepitová and Matej Vítko - plus a young Swedish DHi talent Adam Stålnäbb. All of them riders who focus on bikepark, downhill and enduro riding.
