Floating Pivot Suspension: Push your limits.

Narrow winding trails, rocky sections, technical rooty downhill trails - this is the terrain where you can fully utilize Rock Machine full suspension bikes. The new Floating Pivot Suspension system gives our ‘fullies’ outstanding riding characteristics: • Suspension performance that is highly sensitive and stays active in every situation, without any adverse energy loss through bobbing, even during really intense pedalling. The rear triangle of the Blizzard models is connected to the main frame triangle via two rocker arms, which maintains the variable / floating position of the virtual centre of rotation in the area of the bottom bracket. The virtual centre of rotation of the rear triangle is therefore always in the optimum position throughout the entire range of the travel. • Compact and ultra-stiff rear triangle gives the bike aggressive, lively riding qualities. • The Smart Link element ensures an optimum suspension progress throughout the travel range without the need to use special over-engineered shocks with high service demands. • The characteristics of the Rock Machine bike suspension inspire confidence even in the most difficult terrain.

Floating Pivot Suspension (FPS) The floating position of the main pivot eliminates any adverse effects on suspension performance - especially bobbing during intense pedalling and suspension blocking during braking. The result is excellent acceleration and a smooth, fast ride even in difficult terrain. Our FPS system with a virtual pivot is highly stable and efficient - the high value of the anti-squat parameter prevents „bobbing“ in power stroke and eliminates „pulling“ on cranks during suspension. Low leverage ratio You can fully rely on Rock Machine in all types of terrain, from forest paths to the toughest downhill trails. Compared to traditional suspension systems, the kinematics of Rock Machine full suspension bikes are designed with a lower ratio between the travel of the rear triangle and the travel of the shock. Our solution allows lower pressure to be used in the shock, which significantly increases the sensitivity of the rear suspension - as a result the bike reliably absorbs big and small hits with equal ease. Smart Link The force from the rocker arm is transmitted to the shock through the Smart Link element, which optimizes the suspension performance. The linear curve of the travel in the first half ensures high sensitivity of the suspension even on the smallest hits. The progressive curve of the travel in its second half is a guarantee for reliable overcoming of even big impacts without the risk of damaging shocks and it allowing the effective use of the full range of the travel. Extremely stiff rear triangle Our construction of the rear triangle gives the bike a high lateral stiffness in combination with precise and secure control. Thanks to the floating pivot suspension system with 142x12 thru axle, the rear triangle stays are joined as one extremely stiff compact unit.

Excellent energy transfer, durability, manoeuvrability and superior riding comfort have made our Explosion carbon models popular with hundreds of enthusiastic users across Europe. From 2016 we equipped our carbon bikes with interchangeable MAD droupouts that ensure compatibility with two most widely used standards of the rear wheel axle - classic quick-release or thru axle 12x142mm. Depending on your riding style you can choose whether you want a model with 29“ or 27.5“ wheels.

No matter what event you decide to race, the Rock Machine carbon models will always surprise you with their stiffness in the stroke, durability and riding comfort. The frames of Explosion models are robust enough to withstand even in the most challenging marathon or cross-country events. From 2016 we equipped them with thru-axles to deliver 20% higher performance! The massive connection between the down tube and the bottom bracket ensures optimum transfer of power from pedalling, great acceleration and stable control. The smart design of the Dynastay seat stays in combination with big wheels is the basis of the high riding comfort of all Rock Machine carbon models. This enhances the sophisticated tube shaping and sophisticated composition of more than 300 segments of carbon material, which make up each Rock Machine frame. All advanced technological solutions make riding on the Explosion carbon models a true experience.

Dynastay stays The specifically shaped Dynastay seat-stays improve the vertical flexibility of the frame and riding comfort. The excellent comfort of Rock Machine carbon models will amaze you. At the end of every ride you will have to fight the temptation to keep going. Integrated Post Mount (IPM) The location of the brake calliper inside the rear triangle reduces vibrations during braking and protects the calliper from damage by stones. Unexpected terrain thus represents much less risk! Power Transfer Point (PTP) The connection between the bottom bracket and the down tube and the chain stays is crucial for achieving maximum rigidity. The structural element „Power Transfer Point“ allows the Rock Machine bikes efficient energy transfer from the pedals, while also significantly contributing to the precise and intuitive control of the bike. Tapered HT The shape of the head tube is designed to achieve the greatest possible contact area at the connecting point between the upper and lower frame tube. Our solution enhances the stiffness of the front triangle and the bike can be surely and precisely controlled. You will therefore always have your Rock Machine bike completely under control. The STePS battery has a capacity of 418Wh and it takes four hours to completely charge the battery. There are two position types of batteries. A rear carrier type and a down tube type. The battery life is 1.000 cycles. After 1.000 cycles the battery still charges more than 250 Wh.
