Exercise 1
The Animate Inanimate
The First Ever Assignment. Aug 30 - Sept 8
Plan, Roof Plan, Elevation and Section.
The Water Bottle
This assignment was meant to understand the architectural language of representation of 3D space through 2D means.
A water bottle was chosen for this project, as it displays the simplicity of every day objects and shows a simple motion.
Initial Position.
The Trajectory.
Animation
The simple animation of the water bottle falling over to its side.
Final Position
The Final Resting Position of the Bottle
Exercise 2
Mapping Space
The Second Assignment Sept 8 - Sept 20
The main objective for this exercise is to introduce the iterative design processes.
This cube was designed with 4x4 grids, and some corners were removed to showcase a smaller cube’s illusion concaving in.
The Initial Test Cube
Different Angles of the Final Cube
The Smaller Test Cubes.
The Unrolled Net of the Final Cube.
The Unrolled Cube Net and Axonometric Design of the Cube.
The Final Cube Design.
This exercise explores architecture’s outward appearance as a solid or a void. Four different models were first created from simple shapes on paper, then extruded on the paper. The elevation of the model was then taken and extruded into digital models.
The Third and Final Exercise Sept 20 - Oct 7

The First and Final Major Project Oct 11 - Nov 19
The main objective of this project is to be able to apply the techniques and concepts introduced in Exercises 1, 2, and 3 to a larger and more complex design problem than students have previous encountered.
