Mobile pizza

Serving-up authentic, wood-fi red Neapolitan pizzas, Reggia Pizza is a new mobile pizza catering business which has been turning heads around Suffolk since launching in March this year.

The brainchild of Stowmarketbased husband-and-wife team Paolo Pragliola and Chiarina Marchesi, Reggia Pizza offers a simple range of traditional wood-fi red pizzas using hand-stretched dough, and only ethically and locally sourced produce. Operating from a converted vintage horsebox, Reggia Pizza runs weekly at a variety of locations across mid and west Suffolk.

Paolo, originally from Caserta in the Campania region of southern Italy, and Chiarina, with family in neighbouring Lazio, both spent their childhoods and early adulthood living in both the southern regions as well as Tuscany.

Drawing on their heritage, the couple wanted to bring a genuine pizza experience to Suffolk, whilst supporting local businesses within the area. From sourcing ingredients locally while paying special attention to seasonal availability from local farmers who engage in sustainable practices, to using sustainably sourced oven wood, fully compostable packaging, and fully recyclable beverage options, an ethical ethos is at the heart of their operations.

On the menu, customers will fi nd familiar classics such as La Margherita (San Marzano tomatoes, fi or di latte mozzarella, pecorino cheese and basil); La Reggia (San Marzano tomatoes, fi or di latte mozzarella, pecorino cheese, Prosciutto crudo, fresh rocket and parmesan shavings); La Marinara (suitable for vegans featuring San Marzano tomatoes, oregano and olive oil), La Vesuvio (San Marzano tomatoes, fi or di latte mozzarella, pecorino cheese, spicy 'Nduja and fresh ricotta cheese) as well as La Stagionale, changing with the seasons, it is topped with locally grown produce in the months they’re best enjoyed.

The staples for all of the pizzas include Molino Dallagiovanna fl our, Sant’Anastasia fi or di latte mozzarella and Sarnese Nocerino San Marzano tomatoes.

Ever sine their fi rst service the couple have been welcomed with open arms by locals and fellow small business owners. In addition to its weekly village pitches, there are already several events lined up throughout the second half of 2021 including the Stowmarket Beer Festival (2 to 4 July) and the Primadonna Festival (30 July to 1 August) - both taking place at the Museum of East Anglian Life, as well as the collaboration recently started with Hadleigh Cricket club. To fi nd out where they will be serving next and options of how to pre-order check them out online. An authentic Itailian pizza is closer to home than you might have thought. reggiapizza.co.uk
