January 24, 2007 To Whom It May Concern, My name is Alex Ernst, and Tyler Plain asked me to write a letter of recommendation. I work in education and I am currently a fifth grade teacher. My summers are spent at Camp Kooch-I-Ching, where I run the Junior Camp. I have spent the past sixteen summers working with young men there, and have had the pleasure of watching Tyler grow from a young adolescent to a mature adult. I have worked with Tyler both as a camper and as a member of our staff. Tyler and I led a group of 9 boys on a 10 day canoe trip into the Canadian wilderness. From this experience I can certainly attest to his patience, ability to work with others, and his skills in navigation. The trip involved much planning and preparation, as well as debriefing and wrapping up. Through the entire process Tyler was a strong and responsible leader. I could count on him both to give me support, and to take control when needed. It is always a pleasure for me to work side by side with someone of such high caliber. Tyler communicates well with others, and has a great interest to gain new knowledge. This was clearly evident to me while working with him and watching him work with others. He would be a tremendous asset to your organization, and I can recommend him to you without reservation. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

September 10, 2006 To Whom It May Concern: This letter is my personal recommendation for Tyler Plain. This past summer, Tyler was employed with Eagle County Government where he divided his time between the Weed and Pest and GIS Departments. I found Tyler to be hard working, tackling assignments with dedication and enthusiasm. Tyler came to Eagle County with a good foundation of core GIS knowledge and the desire to get practical experience. He worked closely with the Weed and Pest and GIS Departments to evaluate and enhance the current GIS mapping for weed management. The culmination of Tyler’s work has been a great benefit the County. I highly recommend Tyler for employment. His motivation and abilities would make a great asset to any organization.
Sincerely,
Leslie Kehmeier, GISP GIS Manager Eagle County GIS Department

To Whom It May Concern: Tyler C. Plain worked as a paid undergraduate intern under my supervision during the Spring Semester of 2006. At the same time, he was my student in the GEOG 4350 Remote Sensing of Environment class. Tyler’s responsibilities as an intern included inventory and scanning of aerial photographs, and preparing aerial photographs for aerotriangulation. This procedure included identifying and measuring pass points and control point on overlapping photos using specialized photogrammetric software. In our project flow, it is critical that this task be done carefully and without error as it provides the geometric foundation for the entire GIS database. I found Tyler to be a capable and enthusiastic employee. He was able to learn new skills quickly and apply them to the assigned tasks, which he completed in a timely fashion. Tyler is an outgoing, cheerful and energetic individual. He would be an asset to any organization he was a part of.
Sincerely yours,
Thomas R. Jordan, PhD.
