Pantanal

“World’s largest tropical wetland area” The Pantanal is a natural region encompassing the world’s largest tropical wetland area. It is located mostly within the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul, but it extends into Mato Grosso and portions of Bolivia and Paraguay. It sprawls over an area estimated at between 140,000 and 195,000 square kilometres. Roughly 80% of the Pantanal floodplains are submerged during the rainy seasons, nurturing an astonishing biologically diverse collection of aquatic plants and helping to support a dense array of animal species. The name “Pantanal” comes from the Portuguese word pântano, meaning wetland, bog, swamp, quagmire or marsh. By comparison, the Brazilian highlands are locally referred to as the planalto, plateau or, literally, high plain.

“Horse Ride Through The Farm Field” We will go for a horse ride, since are quiet, even those who have never ridden a horse can do this. There are several trails in the region with shorter or longer routes, which can be made either in the full as in the dry season, always followed up by experienced local guides.

“Safari” The Pantanal Safari is a huge opportunity to be acquainted with the Pantanal wild life and to capture amazing photographs. Our knowlegeable guides will take you to the most likely spots, where the animals nest, where they drink, rest, hunt, or simply play with the youngsters.
