Planet Ally We want to live on a planet of allies! Founded in Hong Kong in 2016, and now based in Australia, our mission is to live on a planet of allies.
We are a queer feminist-led international nonprofit dedicated to allyship and advocacy for people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expressions and sex characteristics (SOGIESC).
We believe allyship has no borders. Online, on the ground and when travelling; we stand in solidarity to hold and create safe spaces, resources and platforms that protect and empower communities and human rights defenders to advance their human rights and dignity.

International Events
Miles of Love LGBTIQ+ Travel Advocacy Forum Through public events and closed-door meetings, our Forums are unique opportunities to engage in dialogue and coordinated action ensuring the aviation industry and private sector can work with LGBTIQ+ communities and human rights defenders around the world to open up new conversations and collaborations that drive both business success and increase safety and dignity for LGBTIQ+ people.
Human Dignity Festival Launched in 2017 as an ode to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the pursuit of building intersectional allyship and dignity for LGBTIQ+ people globally. The Festival comprises a series of trauma-informed events that hold safe spaces for facilitating intimate cross-cultural, linguistic and inter-generational dialogues and awareness through the lenses of the UDHR articles, UN conventions, SDGs and including the lived experience of people with diverse abilities and or SOGIESC backgrounds. Representatives come from all over the world, representing everything from civil society, faith groups, academia, sporting bodies, United Nations bodies, government and the private sector.
Journey to 2023
Two massive global events are debuting in Asia-Pacific in 2023:
Sydney WorldPride 2023 and The FIFA Women's World Cup 2023™ Co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand! Human rights will be an important legacy of both events. Planet Ally’s strategic advocacy is focused on leveraging these events and their legacies to amplify travel safety, dignity and protection as well as offer some invaluable resources for travellers/visitors.
