We are thrilled to present to you the 2014 edition of our Summer Bucket List. Inside, you’ll find our guide is packed with options for summer family fun. You’ll also find some items that often go overlooked in the hustle and bustle of daily life. When was the last time
you had a full checkup at the doctor? Do you need to create a household budget? And what about planning for the future? This summer, why not take the time not only to enjoy yourself and your loved ones but also check off some of these important items? We hope you keep this magazine throughout the season as a guide to a complete, fun-filled and productive summer.

If you like animals, you’ll love giving the puppies at Southeastern Guide Dogs (4210 77th St. E., Palmetto; (941) 7295665) a little love with its Puppy Hugging program. When you arrive on the Palmetto campus to hug puppies, you are helping them achieve the ultimate level of socialization needed for world-class guide dogs. Later, they will learn to focus on their job despite the distractions, but early on, these fun sessions 17 help them prepare for life as a guide dog. Hours are from 9 to 9:30 a.m. or 10 to 10:30 a.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Cost is $5 per session. With Busch Gardens (300 E. Busch Blvd., Tampa; (888) 800-5447) so close, most Plant 18 City residents already have been to the Tampa amusement park. But how many have accepted the ultimate challenge — to

ENJOY A MEAL ON WHEELS
If you were one of the many Plant City residents who enjoyed last month’s Food Truck Round Up, you can rejoice: it’s now going to be a regular event. Reception to the May 16 Food 19 Truck Round Up was so positive that Plant City Special Events Manager Deanna Hurley says the event will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. the third Friday of each month, in McCall Park, Historic Downtown Plant City. The inaugural event featured all kinds of different food
items, such as ice cream, alligator meat, sausages, barbecue and the fanciest grilled cheese sandwich around — brie served between a ciabatta bun. Summer dates are June 20, July 18 and Aug. 15.
