Mark pipe insertion depth on the pipe (approx. half the fitting length). Undo nuts 1 to 2 turns while ensuring they remain on the fitting.

While holding the fitting body with a PLASSON wrench (or a similar tool) tighten the nut firmly with another wrench.

Note: If the fitting is to be reused, check all of the metal teeth are still in the white grip ring - if not, replace the old grip ring with a new one.

Insert the pipe until the mark is inline with the end of the nut.
