When every metre matters. SAFE PLAY SURFACE The choice of four natural looking artificial grass surfaces that are safe and durable. Nomow G2 SafeRange is an impact absorbing exterior safety flooring system using a range of durable, natural looking artificial grasses. The composite layering construction provides this choice of artificial grasses at a range of Critical Fall Heights from 1 metre to 2.8 metres. Each option has been tested to European Standard EN 1177:2008 Impact absorbing playground surfacing. Standards testing was conducted in an independent, accredited testing facility. Nomow G2 SafeRange is a multiple composite of artificial grass installed over a unique multi layered laminate of cross linked, closed cell polymer foam which both spreads the impact and absorbs the shock.

Testing you can trust Nomow G2 SafeRange is tested to Standard EN 1177:2008 in accredited laboratory controlled conditions. In this test, a hemispherical ended headform of mass 4.6Kg is dropped from progressively greater heights on to a sample of the Nomow G2 SafeRange sample layer system. The Head Injury Criterion (HIC) of each impact is calculated from the acceleration/time record of the impact. The Critical Height is determined by producing a ‘best fit’ curve for the various HIC values against drop height and interpolating to obtain the drop height corresponding to an HIC of 1000. The lowest value is used resulting from at least nine identical tests with a minimum of three in identical positions to allow for compaction.

When laid directly on to earth it is usually necessary to apply a fine blinding layer of sharp sand to ensure a smooth flat surface.

• Sheets are loose laid with staggered taped joints. • Artificial grass is laid over the impact layers and pinned or glued down at the edges as necessary. • If the artificial grass is required to have joints, these are glued together using a backing tape along the joint.
