Two suspects arrested
Almost everyone took a welcome break on Wednesday (Heritage Day) while this team of Tubatse SUPERSPAR had to work while customers bought the neccessary ingredients and meat for the BRAAI. That did not deter them to surprise everyone with their traditional attire, thereby also celebrating the heritage festival!
Binne / Inside:
Two suspects were arrested shortly after an incident in which a farm manager was killed on a farm in the Laersdrift area. Colonel Ronel Otto of the Police in Limpopo sayts information indicated that Mr Sarel Janse van Rensburg, the farm manager on the farm Tonteldoos, was alone at the main house on the farm when he was approached by two suspects at around 11:00 last week Thursday. They forced him inside the house where he was assaulted with a sharp object. He died on the scene. Farm workers saw men running away from the house and alerted the Police as well as neighbouring farmers. Two suspects aged 21 and 25 were spotted and arrested. Some stolen goods from the house were found in their possession, namely a small money box as well as other smaller items. Cases of murder and robbery are being investigated.

Marching against abuse On Wednesday the streets of Mangabane Village were filled with children from all over the area marching against abuse. This day was organised with the support of Samancor Eastern Chrome Mine, Kohin and Christian Youth & Beyond. The group marched through the streets to the Mangabane soccer field. The message to the children was clear - they can break the circle of abuse. They were also taught to do unto others as they’d have done to themselves. The event wrapped up with kids receiving cold drinks and sweets. A similar event took place later in the day at Winterveld Recreation Club.

Boxer customers win big in birthday competition 208 Boxer customers shared in the R500 000 prize money
Two Hundred and eight (208) Boxer customers across the country have received their share of half a million rand between June and early September 2014. This was possible through Boxer’s fantastic Birthday Deals competition which was both unusual and rewarding. Over their birthday promotion period, Boxer leaflets offered customers low prices and fantastic ‘Royal pairs’ and ‘diamond deals’ in keeping with their theme. All customers had to do was purchase any two ‘diamond deal’ products and follow the easy USSD prompts to enter the competition. Four customers were randomly drawn throughout the promotional period daily. Each winning customer was personally contacted, congratulated and told to collect their share of R500 000 from their closest Boxer store. The photo left is of a winner in Ellisras, Limpopo. Boxer Birthday Deals raked in an outstanding number of entries. “As with all our competitions, we like setting a numeric target for the number of valid entries we receive over the specified period. And with the Boxer Birthday Deals competition, I can proudly boast that we surpassed our target by leaps and bounds. We are ecstatic about the results and even more pleased with the warm reception it received amongst our shoppers.” said Prenella Ragavan, Boxer’s Public Relations Officer. From the amazing birthday promotion to their newly announced ‘first of its kind’ campaign that has captured South Africa’s attention, Boxer is fast becoming the retailer to watch and a preferred brand in many South African households.
